Thank you for your kind comment🙏 About your question, yes there are. Some of them include -having worked in an English speaking country in the past 1 years, -Having taken an English course - Having a previous qualification that was taught and assessed in English, among others. You can always cross check with the GDC website for the others. I hope that helps.

Hello Dear, The 1600 clinical hours is the time you personally treated patients on the dental chair. Your supervisor should be able to verify it stating how you achieved them, including the details of the procedures which you performed to obtain those clinical hours. I hope I'm clear enough. ORE is not a requirement for temporary registration. So, yes if you get the offer.

Yes it's possible, because DFT is also a training job. You can take ORE anytime you want to gain full registration.

but the problem is hospitals or supervisors dnt give temporary registration.every advertisement wants people with full registration

You are very right to a larger extent. I think the real issue is that temporary registration is not well understood by both the supervising consultants, and the hospitals. It's an issue that needs addressing by the GDC. That's the reason why there are very few temporary registrants in the UK. Even if you get the job, getting a supervisor is an uphill task, but it can be done and it's quite fulfilling.

My daughter is a dentist from India with 3yrs experiance. She can apply?

Yes. She can, as long as she has been practicing and her supervisor can prove that she has attained 1600 clinical hours. Of course she needs to secure the post first.

@@intjad Oriel doesn't ask for IELTS because it's a job website, all they look at is academic qualifications. IELTS will be required for GDC registration.

Hi, Thank you for watching. About your question, if you choose IELTS as proof of your proficiency, then you must do ielts Academic version. Others are not accepted. As for the second question, all you need is proof of 1600 clinical hours. It doesn't matter where you got them. It can be either in your home country or by attachment anywhere else including the UK.

@@kalinakusyk1532 Unfortunately with this, you have to find the post first before applying with the GDC. That means you have to apply to the institutions that have these posts, or the relevant deanaries. You might want to search for the different deanaries in the 4 nations of the UK to find out the details.

Hi, The first step is to find the training job from the relevant deanary of interest to you. Then apply. Once offered, then head to GDC for your temporary registration.
