This is such a good video It really goes in depth in all of the differences and advantages of each locomotion and I am definitely showing it to some of my friends who tend to not like teleporting to help find ways to counter them

9:25 I do this, I don’t know why but I just do

Also with teleporters, the longer your arms are the longer the radius of teleportion. The radius is not around the body, its around the hand. So teleporters with shorter arms cannot outbeat someone with longer arms, im pretty sure this has been tested before on another KZread video, can't remember where though.

Not entirely true as amazing teleporters will use visual telegraph bait n punishes to mentally torture their opponent into insanity before they’ll most likely kill you if they are competent.

The easiest counter to them is AIM

Another way to counter a teleporter is watching their teleport display and aiming there right before they teleport. As a walker this comes in real handy against them.

True but more experienced teleporters know not to hold out their teleport display. They just quickly press it to avoid being predictable

yeah, I can't wait to play the motion sickness simulator and teleport through it all which ruins the point of it!

Am I the only one who thinks that Rec Room characters don't even have legs, but when you walk, there's footsteps?

Another advantage for walkers is dealing with mines. When walkers pass by a mine, they can just quickly run behind a wall. When teleporters counter a mine, all they can do is stand there.

i appreciate the mention of the whole other plane of movement that walk has. walk mode players do not have a severe momentum drop off, while teleporters' move distance actually depends on IRL wingspan and height (which drops off the taller you are). Teleporters cannot sit down and play without being severely slowed, and in some cases, unable to move at all (there is a height threshold that disables all movement if you are too short). you should add things like that sliding, sliding, sliding.

The funny thing is teleporting and the snap turning actually makes my family more motion sick

i prefer walking because i don't want a whole bunch of toxic people yelling at me, that's annoying

Also with teleporting you can not only go in between cover you can completely Dodge paint before it hits you so teleporters in my experience have been nearly impossible to hit at all because when you're shooting at a walker you can lead them and follow them with your gun but with a teleporter they practically skip an entire chunk of places they could be hit, and I know that they have to wait for a second but I think the advantages outweigh the fact that they have to wait for a very short amount of time before they can teleport again

I know this does not apply in paintball, but teleporters have all disadvantages in melee. I think it's worth noting, if you really can't stand teleporters just go play something with melee only.

Not true. Good teleporters will severely minimize it’s visibility to make predictability next to non-existent. Secondly, a really good teleported can use their visual telegraph to bait other players by making think they’ll go one way only to quickly swipe in the other direction as a very effective surprise tactic.

I see why people dont like teleportation in rec room but in my opinion, people take it too far even if teleporters have more advantages then walkers. I mean, the way i see it is you just have to adapt or figure out ways to hit the teleporter, its not very different to hitting locomotion players. Oh yea and there is a way to teleport while your walking, tho its kinda based on how big your guardian/play space is. I dont consider this as cheating but i avoid doing it unless im in hot situations.

Did you know that if you slide and shoot then press the sprint button again quickly you won’t lose momentum meaning you can keep shooting at a sprinting pace if you do the process quick enough?

Yes but no one with wired vr can rlly do that. Also walkers can’t sprint while shooting whereas teleporters can move full speed while shooting which is already faster than walkers sprinting without shooting

@Dark Sounds like a rather mighty leap in logic to go from Mavin's general thesis which, in summation, that while teleporters, if mastered do have more advantages than walk, because of teleporting's a steep learning curve and the various ways walkers can properly adapt to these different locomotion matchups allows individual skill to have increased prevalence at the end of the day. And instead as this major figurehead in the Rec Room Community creating anti-teleporter propaganda media to further fuel the flames associated with the teleport hysteria that currently plagues the community. I've never been flawless in my reasoning skills, especially on the internet, so I am not trying to give you too much shit for what you said a few weeks ago (saying it out load is now making me realize I'm being rather petty, but whatever it's the internet), but be a bit careful with letting emotions getting a strict hold on your rationality as it is very easy for even grown-ass men to do often.

To fix the drift , get some wd40 contact cleaner . Not regular wd40 but the contact cleaner. Spray it in your controller let it dry for 30 min
