I used to have a lot of interest in Tekton. I think they make real great bang for the buck products. After all this silliness, not anymore.

I have heard about Eric over at Tekton more than a few times, he is not very business savvy when it comes to relationships. Bit of a hot head, and now he has proven the rumors true.

i had good impressions of Tekton prior to this....but no more. I would not even buy them used.

Seriously? Which car do you own? Every manufacturer over the years has lied and cheated their customers. Have you even listened to Tekton's side? You should buy a speaker because of build quality, value, sound quality, and manufacturer support. You're reason for not buying is ridiculous.

Don’t know the man, Eric, but his 1st video came out like a bull in a china shop with threats of court. Erwin’s response was one of wonder and bullying him to submit to what Eric wants. This audio hobby/ business is full of extremely nice people that publish and help where ever they can when asked for the betterment of the audio industry. No room or need for Tekton to be on anyone’s list with that type of personality. Plenty of great speakers out there, Eric won’t be missed. I do feel bad for current owners and people he employs though, maybe all will move on to a better place?

Eric at Tekton could try a more mature approach to all his relationships, building bridges is more important than building walls that are self-serving without benefit to others....just saying...sending love to everyone...

My one and only experience with Eric at tekton was negative. I called to ask some questions about a speaker and he seemed very, very annoyed that I called and I could hear in his voice that he did not want to help me out with my questions. Put a real bad taste in my mouth.

Some of these kind of people belong in a cubical. I too have a friend who has Tekton's and although he likes them, he too said Eric was extremely unpleasant to talk with over the phone. Eric says he's gotten a lot of nasty emails. Not surprising with all this as well.

It is so bizarre how the owner is driving his company into the ground over this. An open discussion between men is far better than threats of litigation. The manufacturer should be grateful for Erin’s input and use that for product improvement. No one person has all of the answers and knowledge.

A bad overreaction by Eric. Sorry to see it. No doubt will only harm his company far worse than the review.

No, but thank you for asking. I actually get shirts as gifts from people and one time I even was given a shirt that mentioned a particular type of weed and I didn’t even know that that’s what it was and some people in a store mentioned it and laughed because I didn’t know what it was.

Who cares about Tekton, never heard of it or any people around or versus him. And just one other thing, he who does incredible is not appreciated by the mass, always. The few Ingenious people are always hunted by “people” over negligebles.

People don't buy things for the silliest reasons. A little blip on a graph is all it takes.

It's called Audio Science Review for a reason, if you want a site with people waxing lyrical about warmth, depth, sparkle or any other nonsensical stuff it's not for you. Try Paul from PS Audios videos for that BS.

I don't listen to music for science. I listen to music for warmth and pleasure. If you want cold science then go spend your sessions reading charts.

@@drde4010 wow have you read any research about sound reproduction at all? there is CLEAR correlation between measurements and sound quality. way back in 70s speakers had design goals, now there is junk designs like tekton that make no sense because people refuse to read any science and accept the truth.

Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. I will always still buy the Tektons because the products are very good value and extremely original. They sound good. I'd also buy a Cadillac and even a Corvette even though I can't stand the women running GM.

Tekton will survive and most likely thrive. Bad press is better then no press. You all pushed Erics speakers right under the uninformed audio nerd's noses. While its claim to fame in the long run may just be all this controversial press making Tekton more interesting in the publics eye. An average Joe may stumble across this press cycle and wonder what the heck happened and go look at Tekton very closely that may not have known who Tekton was at all. more out of curiosity and think to themselves "wow thats some incredible looking gear". You might have helped sell the goods with bad press.

Yea, sometimes it's amazing how negative press rather than no press can sometimes help business in some cases. I just find Eric to be a bit of a hothead. I just don't care for people like that personally. We all have faults, but threatening litigation against people without trying to reason constructively is not a trait I would endorse. The world is filled with too many individuals with those tactics and it's the reason we have to cope with so many ridiculous laws and regulations.

I purchase a product based on a lot of parameters. The personality of the one building it is not one of them. The only value of KZread reviews is entertainment.

Eric over-reacted to what he felt was unfounded criticism. Let it go folks. The counter response has become almost as bad. SMH

I believe the bad press will cause the unexpected speaker nerds to actually look closely at Tekton. Bad press is better then no press.....
