    just not enough grab combo in my opinion when i play king I'm all grab combo defense AK is full on aggression constant pressure, I keep seeing openings for grab combo opportunities to finish the fight but its just not happening although It should be noted that neutralizing the grab is a major weakness in my tactics.

In my opinion, to really enjoy your personal favorite fighting game you need to appreciate other fighting games as well to discover what your game does better than others. There is never going to be a fighter that is everybody's favorite, so just enjoy your's and don't discourage others.

    I don't understand why gamers have to rank everything best to worst. It's such a waste of time. Tekken, Street Fighter, MK, KI, KOF, Soulcalibur who gives a shit which is best they are all unique and they are all unique for a reason. Fighting games wouldn't be very much fun if they were all the same

    I'll be more specific since MK is in the conversation. Just about every Mortal Kombat game released up until MK9 has been a joke in terms of balance, thus, nobody has taken the franchise seriously in the world of competition. Mortal Kombat needs to be "like" Street Fighter if the next game is going to live as long as NRS hopes so people are held over until their next title.

  • @halstewart7144

    Question: Would stopping your opponent from getting up off the floor be considered cheap or unethical (for example a Jun ff3 while they get up)? Or what about low pokes like in KOF Because watching this and the Evo with JDCR and Knee in the grand finals i saw a lot of things that people might consider to be cheap play.

    +shad0w8 nothing is cheap in tournament. but even generally getting up off the ground is a big part of tekken (called okizeme) so everything you do to a guy on the ground is fine because he has a lot of things he can do to escape or bring the fight to you. it's a bit like rock paper scissors really.

It's not like I'm paying for their copies. Tekken is a far better fighter than SF, in my opinion. You might think both suck and Soul Calibur is better. Or Killer Instinct. Or that all fighters suck and shooters are the only worthy games of playing. And you know what? All those opinions are valid. Is Namco even paying you for every Tekken hating troll you shun on the YT comment section? Just live and let live, bro.

    +EpigGamer You don't need a PS3, just the controller to attend tourneys. So if you play on stick, you will need a PS3 stick. If you play pad, you will need a PS3 pad. I high recommend tournaments. A absolute ton of fun. Will help you improve tremendously.

  • @mav9504

    @mav9504

    8 жыл бұрын

    +EpigGamer The Tekken community mostly exists on PSN as Tekken was released first on PS1, way before it was released for Xbox 360 where (I believe) it only has T6 and TTT2. That's why tournaments in the west use a PS3, and most arcade sticks players use will be compatible for PS3. Even the Asian's, they play in arcades mostly but I'm pretty sure they all have PS3's at home where they do their studying of the game, cuz they grew up with the series for years like western Tekken players did. If you only have a Wii U and want to use a stick for tournies then you'd need one that is compatible for PS3. There are sticks compatible for both PS/Xbox, so the they'll work on both consoles, not sure about Wii U though. Mad Catz is a good place to start looking up sticks I'd imagine.
