I couple of corrections! - Thank you @derper4553 for the correction. 1. Sentai 1+2 is not safe as you can't block while in heaven's wrath. 2. Heaven's wrath in heat won't parry 'any' mid or high - it does not work on airbourne opponents so hopkicks will still hit you.

Heaven's wrath can be cancelled into a crouch dash, which can be cancelled into blocking by holding back. Very similar to Jin's zen cancel If done fast enough, it seems that sentai 1+2 is only -13 or -14f and cannot be launch punished

This is my first Tekken game that I'm actually willing to learn and it feels so overwhelming only seeing the ammount of moves. Thanks for the guides, really helpful!

My approach to the game was to just work on learning key moves and working on fundamentals like kbd, whiff punishing, punishing, side stepping and whatnot. You pickup more moves as you play so it’s not so stressful to learn by studying all the time.

The way I'd do it is to just play the hell out of the Super Ghost Battle. Take your current character through Arcade Quest to learn their basics and get a grip on how they feel, then transition to Super Ghost Battles and fight until you can generally fight with them without having to really take time to think about what move to make. Then you take it online and fight in unranked matches until you feel comfortable fighting against other people. Then make the move to ranked.

After 112 SEN, I always go for the unbreakable grab. No one tries to duck or back dash at low ranks. If they start ducking, SEN 1+2 is free and goes into the follow-up that you mentioned

Thank you for uploading videos the way you do, man. Seriously. No unnecessarily long videos, information is concise, and an easy to understand format. You save me, and others, SO much time since we do not have to skip or skim through a 8-10 minute video where info is all over the place. I'm able to actually practice properly with little delay as I can just pull up your vids, let the ad play (or skip it) whilst I set the training up, then smoothly transition into what I need to work on! A plus is I'm a Reina main:)

She’s for sure complex, but I feel like its like a drumset. You just gotta see what tools you have at hand and what can lead into each other. Then just flow into what works. You don’t gotta think super crazy rn just get used to the character. It should come naturally the urge when you learned how it feels to then look for more options. I say this because I was doing better when I focused on good poking and safe tools first and then experimented with stance pressure and oki set-ups. If anything, this difficulty is fun to uncover as you play and experiment.

That's how I see it as well. Sure, she has a lot of stances, but once you're in a stance your options are far more limited than normal sp if anything each stance is less complicated than normal. Just gotta learn what each stance can do.

Thank you for all of these. I really didn't understand how to use Reina in neutral. These videos are good and tell frame data.

I've gotten half way through orange rank with Reina by pretty much doing nothing but abusing forward, forward 2 into sentai mixups. This is my first Tekken so I don't have the legacy skill to do any of her fancy Mishima stuff yet, other than an occasional hellsweep to keep people honest, but her sentai stance feels pretty strong on its own.

I'm a complete beginner and took the plunge into maining reina and I was so overwhelmed by the ridiculous amount of crazy combo and frame perfect electrics I kept seeing online. Hoping one day I will be able to pull those off but this video actually gave me so much understanding and sense into the general trading plan and the basic mix ups. For 3k subs this is underrated content, keep it up!

U can buffer fowar input after stance change moves like f.f+2 , F+2,3 , 1,1,2 same thing with heat dash .

I've been a fan since 1998 but never particularly good (brain is too smooth and I've always been more fond of Soulcalibur and Smash). However between committing harder after Geese got put in 7 and Kazuya making it to Smash, I've been playing with a lot more intensity. Reina is definitely my favorite new character in this one (though I like Victor and Azucena too). These short and simple single topic guides are really helpful. Thanks for making them.

Yep they both have subpar lows, but Reina has some really strong mids/highs and pressure tools. Sidestep 4 is okay - i18f, 0h, -13b. Her hellsweep is actually decent as it gives +6 when going into heavens wrath 👍

ff2 into sentai 3 I’m pretty sure is guaranteed. Sentai 3 comes out too fast for people to duck it so I’d probably spam this before it gets nerfed. This only works if you land ff2 not with other sentai transitions.

... can anyone explain to me how 1 1 2 is useful...? ... you can only Sentai on hit and I have found that every time I attempt to use it and not continue pressure with Sentai, i'm the one eating a punish. So I stopped using it all together. ... I prefer to start my pressure with moves like F F 2 into Sentai since it is activated on hit, block and whiff and it being a long reaching mid is a plus.

You can hitconfirm it, only doing the 2 if you see your first jab wasn't blocked. Jabs are really important in tekken and one of the moves you'll land most often.

Jabs are relatively safe, I know this... but it never really occurred to me to use the delayed input to check for a hit confirm and move into Sentai. ... thinking about it now, I still prefer guaranteed Sentai setups to the ones on hit confirm just so I can focus solely on the mix up i'm about to deliver. ... but as you say, Jabs are some of the most common attacks you are going to throw out and for Reina, it is some of the safest checks she can dish out. I do find myself halting incoming pressure with her jabs, but I do nothing after that and just proceed with my guaranteed Sentai setups. ... thanks for taking the time to explain.

The stomp parry can only be done in heat while in Heaven’s Wrath (D1+2), it will automatically parry mids and highs 👍

Sentai 2 and 4 will beat D4 (after ff2 on block), but yeah generic D4 isn't a bad defensive option

112 being able to hit confirm has always been balanced by the fact that it’s launch punishable on block, would’ve been busted if she can just go into stance

@@goodusermaadinternet6774 To mitigate the launch punish, (For future readers) it's better to just get used to 11 then go into a DELAYED 2. Since you can get away with 11, you avoid much of the risk than you would completing the string. Keep in mind that 11 is still duckable. So be warned! It's pretty tough to not go for the full string, though:P
