    The character concept of Steve Fox was so well executed. You really get the feel of Boxing as as a combat discipline (James Shiba) and there's no shortage of references to expand on. Maybe in Tekken 8 he'll have Lomachenko shuffles haha. Beautiful video Blasted Salami. I stopped playing video games after the PSP/PS2 era but I really appreciate watching your videos. Keep it up!

    Also (same person as above here) after ext dck1 and flk b+2 you can get in an iWR 2 if your execution is good, on the punch parry too you can get a fF+2 but thats a just frame input and quite hard to pull off, but flips them around leaving them face down head towards you on the ground for better oki Also thanks for the vid really helpful!

    ONE. HOUR. AND. FIFTY. SEVEN. MINUTES. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Thank you. Thank you so much. My saturday is saved! Also one thing about weave into sway: You can hide the sway throw by doing weave > Sway > Sway throw. This effectively hides the entire sway animation, making the sway throw really hard to see at the wall. Abuse the shit out of this before it gets patched out.

    That Blasted Salami, this guide is what convinced me to buy Tekken 7, just to practice this character. You broke down how to use this character in such a fantastic way that it made sense to a non-fighting game newbie, and i'm able to keep up with novices with hundreds of hours on fight one. Sure i'm making mistakes, but drilling the mentality of "force them to whiff and then punish it" is enough to get me going

    the combo at 1:25:14 do the extended duck a little longer, you dont have to rush it, you ve got to get close so the enemy flies higher, after that it will be easier to get the micro dash df+12 Edit: 1:27:25 this combo will make the life harder for some of you.i ve some tipps which helped me to do this consistently. -after the first df+1, 2,1 you wont be able to go into flicker consistently unless you press back a little longer. - after you do the DCK forward +2,1 try buffering and holding the dck cancel and watch it happen, as soon as you see it happen (if you duck canceled sucessfully, it looks like crouching obv) make a huge forward forward to come as close as possible and then do df1,2,1, back, DCK+1. It helped me a lot to watch the dck cancel happen since you can dash forward sooner which results in having a bit more time for the ending Edit 2: PAB+1,1,2,1 without the B to go into the FLk is another "resplat option" so basically you can bb>LVW+1,1 > wallcombo (but its -10 without the B)

    not as long as possible.just extend it a bit to get a litle close, if you do it tooo much it wont work. Try watching the enemy, the closer you get with the extended duck the higher the enemy flies and get a feeling with the timing. AS soon as you are close enough dont wait

    and and those who STRUGGLE with GATLING GUN on pad. bind 1+4 to LT and 2+3 to RT ingame and mash theese shoulder buttons instead of 1 and 2 . It will ignore 3 and 4 and do the gatling gun combo.

    I was wondering why you hadn't uploaded anything in a month, and honestly I'm surprised you finished a guide with this much detail in that time. Hopefully I'll get round to watching this again and learning Steve soon, though considering I'm still working through your Lee guide that probably won't be anytime in the near future ahaha, keep up the good work man!

    Holy hell, my dude! So much information! Been in a little bit of a character crisis recently, and i've found Steve to be very enjoyable, but man i'm a little stumped. Got some simple tech, but I really want to dive into his meat and potatoes. This has definitely been very helpful and I have actually taken notes. Will gladly sub to watch more breakdowns, help me with a lot of my struggling match ups. Didn't realize it was 2 hours either until I was about 40 minutes in and had to take a break. Absolutely incredible.

    Amazing Video as usual!! Some notes from me: 24:51 Not really true. Yes, this is useless against 50/50 characters yet you can take the advantages of weave to sway as a bait then counter any high attacks with 2 while swaying, especially in mid-range. I am having fun toying with Law and Hwoarang's kicks using weave to sway **You can stay swaying-ducking-weaving as long as you want. Peekaboo stance is the most offensive counter move, if you've mastered it, it's an overkill stance and easy win for you. It's better to use it at mid-range (just use the 1and 2 combo, parry or use the launchers) and to use at long-range. 32:03 This push (PAB,f+3+4) also works great with shoryuken/dreadnought uppercut (uf+2) as launcher IF you quickly press the button after the push considering you've got plus frame while opponent in minus. 36:29 f+2 should be applied as comeback attack whenever your HP is slightly lower than opponent (also works for big comeback). It would be better as long-range counter attack (considering its range is longer than feet) .You can just wait or approach slowly in PAB stance and whenever the opponent makes any whiff move, press the button immediately 38:24 b+2 should be applied as bait counter on long range and pair it with f+2 for big comeback. Whenever at long-range, you can attack/counter with f+2. Then whenever the opponent try to punish it just use b+2 as counter. And when you get a chance while approaching 'em just launch using Shoryuken (PKB,uf+2) or Cutting Elbow (PKB,df+2) Albatross spin also can be used to get close to the opponent. Though I suggest to directly attack rather than just spinning. If you're too far then spin and to pkb stance is best option. 01:10:40 This also can be used for okizeme or combo ender Best starter move (attack first so you get more confident in game): 1,1,2 OR df+1+2(sonic fang) OR df+2(crescent hook) OR db+1+2 OR db+2 Mastering Steve's combos takes time, so keep practicing! Oh yeah, if you play Steve like a coward you will lose shamefully

    Chevy Chelios Sonic Fang is jab punishable on block right?

  • @chevychelios4672

    @chevychelios4672

    Yes, and also launchable. That's why some of pro players didn't really use it. It's best to use in mid range, to punish opponent's attack or as a part of combo.

    Chevy Chelios is Steve's f+1+2, 2 a guaranteed whiff punishing tool?

  • @hiverhythm

    @hiverhythm

    4 жыл бұрын

    it's punishable yeah but i think it might have pushback thus not punishable by jab. It is minus twelve on block and thus not launchable. I thought it was more risky. @@callmeken2327 f+1+2, 2 doesn't cover a lot of space making it not the best whiff punish tool, however if you are in range it is fast and does good damage. Good movement can make up for i's range. PAB f+2, 1 and d/f+1+2 cover more distance so they are more likely to be used as whiff punishment,
