Tekken 7 - Practicing otgf/pewgf/ewgf on a pad: Project omen's guide
Ойындар
Chapters: otgf - 0:18
pewgf - 6:25
ewgf - 9:34
Notation symbols: f: forward, b: backward, u: up, d: down, cd: crouch dash (f, n, d, df), n: neutral (you don't press anything or you let go of anything you're pressing)
1: left punch, 2: right punch, 3: left kick, 4: right kick
I've been asked to do this sort of thing by a lot of people, so here it is. This is my first shot at making a guide, so we'll see how it goes. Before you watch, I should let you know that these moves require practice. Lots and lots of practice. They don’t come off easily, there’s no easy mode, no get out of jail free card, none of that. Well, there is and it’s called macros but you’re not here for that, are you? I do otgf consistently during matches as you might have seen in my previous video because I’ve been practicing it since the mid tekken tag 2 era and I’m still practicing. So you need to practice a lot, alright? I hope this video helps you!
Controllers: ps4 and ps3 pad
Music: Devil may cry - Mission Start, Tekken 6 - YUKI, Tekken 7 - Negan's stage theme, Tekken 7 - main menu theme (season 3)

That picture of the thumbs up made me very happy for some reason. I feel very appriciated. Awesome guide my friend
Superb guide there bro , very helpful . This is the best guide there if you want to learn advance mishimas techniques . Keep this kind of content coming so that we can learn more from it ! Thank you for the efforts for Tekken FGC community !
There's a typo at the notation of ewgf combo #7 (13:47), there's no 2 jab at the end of the combo! Sorry about that. Edit #1: You can also do an ewgf with f, d, df+2 (see the second version of otgf and pewgf) with ALL the Mishimas! But this version of ewgf is 13 frames ONLY for Kazuya. With the rest (Devil Jin, Heihachi, Jin) it's 14 frames despite skipping neutral. This is because with the others d lasts for 2 frames, while in Kazuya's case it lasts for 1 frame. Edit #2: About the tip about Kazuya's right arm regarding df2 pewgf, take it with a grain of salt. The timing varies depending on the input lag. Input lag can be caused by the monitor you're playing on or by online lag. In the first case, you can learn the timing on your monitor and realize it doesn't work on your friend's monitor. So you might have to change your timing depending on the setup you're playing on.

Nice guides man its great to see your channel improving
Dude thanks a lot your explanation is soo clear and detailed ❤️
Epic guide dude!😄 This helped alot!😊
It's nice that you included the fact you should practise those moves in combos, so people get used to the fact that you won't do an omen or ewgf while having your fingers /wrist places perfectly, since those moves most likely will come out after alot of movement, moves or back stepping for whiff punish. Quite common mistake for new players spam moves like that on a dummy.
Well, here's the tip I used to get consistent OTGF and EWGF. EWGF : f,n,d,df+2 The technique is performing 2 during d so the game thinks it's d,df+2. OTGF, practice df+1 input. I personally do 1~df which gives me df+1. Then do OTGF just like EWGF's technique; by doing 1 earlier than df to get the just-frame df1 input
Very nice guide the first detailed with a Pad thanks a lot....
Finally some good guide on theese mishimas
Suddenly after watch your video I learned the otgf and pewgf thanks

Thanks man. I’ll practice!
Honestly, when I first saw EWGF and Omen, I thought it was impossible. The way I learned was EWGF is just a shoryuken input. But it’s not necessarily about speed. Slowing down a but improved consistency for me.

I would say in the dpad i developed different motions or muscle memories for both sort of speaking , but on the arcade stick which I'm still learning on i feel like that they are very similar , i even think that if you can't do one you wouldn't be consistent with other , but thankfully i think i already stabilized them on the stick after two weeks .

@@aaron.biketrials there is a misconception about the stick being easier than the d-pad , i would say for certain aspects it is and then there things which supposed to be easy and turn out to be hard , whatever you use if you are going to put the effort into it you are going to sucssed , and due to the misconception people tend to put their efforts into learning the stick rather than the d-pad , i would say the stick is smoother nonetheless , i was always been able to get the best results with the d-pad but couldn't prevent injuries , but when i used the stick i felt like everything is smooth and no signs of any injuries, at least until now , and overall I'm enjoying it more , put my number one priority is to either prevent or minimise damages.

@@35oo I started in the arcades back in the 90's playing street fighter, only started gaming again in the past year or so on consol. I find stick easier because theirs more to move, if that makes sense? I find I miss in put a lot when side step ewgf or when back dashing on pad.

Playing mishimas with a pad reduces the pad's lifetime by a lot. The arrows stop working correctly and after 1 year you end up buying another one. Maybe it's just me.
@darkR1der1312
4 жыл бұрын
My ps2/ps3 pads are still working after 10+ years of usage. My ps4 pad was working for 2 years until the membrane under the arrow buttons was torn, just recently. Which is the most common problem with pad users who play Tekken. You don't have to buy a whole new controller, there are ps4 membranes on the internet you can get (or membranes for whatever controller you're using) for like 10% of the controller's price, maybe less. Then you have to open up your pad and replace the torn one.
