I hope there is more creativity with the stages in T8. The environment interactions, ceiling interactions...ahhh...I miss T4. They don't make stages like this in Tekken anymore...

@@tabkg5802 agreed. Besides, the only stage that really matters now in high level competitive T7 are probably the Forgotten Realm and Howard Estate anyway. The other are pretty much the same with slight change here and there with no substantial difference between them.

The ceiling bounce was the most nostalgic thing ive experienced in years. Great details on this mod!

@@lylevillanueva8624It would only apply to specific moves though, just like power crush and all. I feel like this would be the "Falcon Punch" of Tekken. Not used much, but when it's used, it's such a disrespect.

The being able to move around before the round starts thing is one aspect of Tekken 4 that I wonder why it never got revisited. My best guess is that it gave an unfair advantage to characters like Mishimas as they could have you in a wave dash mix-up before the round even starts.

It really was, there's even a video on its atmosphere on here, have a look for it! I love Tekken 4, I know it's got some problems but it's still pretty damn great IMO and has an atmosphere that Tekken 5 somehow lacks

I’ll be honest, T4 was gritty and hood. It really captured the essence of a fight. Two people fighting in a parking garage or in the mall. It was ghetto af and we all loved it, not to mention the music. Tekken needs this back.

@@EX0007 that was not the sentiment when it was the current version of the game. It died a quicker competitive arcade and console death than any other installation during its active time. Maybe that's true for people following the content on those online platforms for nostalgic reasons etc, but certainly wasn't the case before T5 was released.

King of Fighters Maximum Impact game also for PS2 has a similar parking lot stage. Even had cars coming in and out to park and a similar blue car parked.

I loved the uneven floor and objects. I've both won (and lost) a ton of matches because of the environment landing or wiffing the killing blow. Unfortunately the pros hated it. It took away any guarantee a combo or launcher with work and those people sure like guarantees. That why Tekken world isn't round anymore but flat.

@@chumorgan443 The thing that made elevations a bit of an issue is that it would transpose Highs to mids and mids to lows sometimes I think, so it was very exploitable, but It did add a tactical element to Tekken that has been gone ever since then.

i love that RA concept or at least as an alternate comeback mechanic.......also like the stage interaction for high launchers hitting the ceiling forcing player to adjust their combos for diff results. Well done video and concepts

This is super cool. Also reminded me of why I loved Tekken 4 so much. Man, the details of that stage alone... They felt so much more alive than anything in later iterations of Tekken. The gameplay was a bit so-and-so, but everything else was Tekken at it's finest.

That's was well done sir. Sticks to tekken lore.

This could’ve been a great opportunity for Story Mode to do more throwback/flashback missions like the T5 intro mission to do things like this. Then again, T7 was conceived out of missed opportunities. Which is why we love this channel.

Tekken 4 and 5 are my favourite Tekken games of the Franchise, especially from PS2 Era, I don't know exactly why, but for me Tekken 4 and 5 still remain the most Unique Tekken games, Tekken 6 was also good, but from the Uniquess Perspective Tekken 4 and 5 in my eyes are really Masterpieces.. ☯️

I just couldnt get into the campaign on tekken 6. 7 was fun, but i HATED fighting akuma as Kazuya! I know next to nothing about Kazuya's playstyle or combos and Akuma was literally impossible to beat with my limited Kazuya experience! Only fight in the game i needed easy mode for! Kqzumi took me a ton of tries too. Pretty sure if i jump back into it now after not playing fir over a year, easy mode akuma would destroy me

That Jin rage art/drive was amazing

I'd like them to talk more and interact more with each accordingly to their relationship with a specific character like it happened in TT2. Also new stages where you can interact with ceilings, special animations for the corners of the walls, maybe a different way of walking if stepping on the water or on the snow or the sand, picking up items fallen from the destroyed stage and use them as weapons, areas of the stage where the floor goes uphill and downhill where maybe highs whiff even If you don't crouch... Just to name a few examples, a little more creativity from Namco for Tekken 8 would be so much appreciated.
