Teenage woman builds "Tree House Getaway" Tiny House for UNDER $2k!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Meet 18 year old Sarah McClellan (daughter of Cob/Earth/Mud builder "Uncle Mud") as she takes us through her self-built funky, unconventional, fun, and ultra-affordable home- one built IN and around seven trees. This house utilizes salvage and secondhand materials and a variety of construction techniques from the usage of S.I.P.s (structurally insulated panels), to live edge woodwork and trim, earth-building, and more. This two story home not only saved Sarah a ton of money and gave her a place of her very own to live in her teenage years and beyond, but also later served as means of rental income for her family- the earnings of which went towards her college tuition.
(related topics- off grid living, homesteading, tree house building, and earthships)

Very nice! Great job raising an independent intelligent beautiful American woman! I don’t like where the toilet is placed but I’m sure as time allows and money things wither rearranged and added on, it’s really beautiful and cozy. I would love to live in one of these built by her! Maybe this will be a future career, she’s got a great start.

I 've collected a good little bit already and blessed to have my own tools. Wonderful place. Please look in to getting the roof sealed in a professional way along with anything else that needs suring up. When I say professional I don't necessarily hiring someone, I just mean get back to doing some homework about sealing completely the roof. How about Solar Panels any plans? I'm starting with a small powered set of 100 watts. Cost only 150 dollars. Keep growing, keep building. God Bless!

@@bookcadenb4584 you also could take this opportunity to take a few minutes out of your day and truly think about what I said. But you're not. It's frustrating as a woman to constantly be reduced to our appearance and this young woman is barely legal and is already having to deal with it. I just wish when women actually told men these things that they would take on board what we are saying. But over and over it seems we are talking to brick walls. Like the only time men can ever have empathy and compassion for women and our voices and opinions is when it directly relates to them. Anyway, i hope before you send me an angry response that you take a few minutes to really hear what I'm trying to say. It's not about free speech it's about seeing women as more than a walking poster for men to gawk at.
