Teen Once Paralyzed Finds Solace in Swimming - CBS 11
June 15, 2012 - Jay Gormley of CBS Ch. 11 covers the story of Landon Light who four years ago awoke paralyzed from his chest down as the result of Transverse Myelitis, a rare disease that causes the immune system to attack the spinal cord. Through a combination of treatment, rehabilitation and sheer determination, Landon is now swimming for his school team.Children's Medical Center Dallas is Landon's hospital and one of only two hospitals in the nation that specializes in Transverse Myelitis.

Landon's such an inspiration to me because he went from a hospital bed to a wheelchair to a walker to crutches! WOW! I love you Landon!😍

I have this disease too....but much worse...I can't even walk :( But if u have this disease....never let anything stop u...anything can happen. I play a disabled sport called sledge hockey....its AWESOME! 😄

I Was Also Paralyzed But Only My Right Foot I Had A Potts Disease It Went To My Spinal Cord Near The Thoracic Now I Am On A Therapy
