TEDxYYC - Mark Horvath - Making Everyone Known

Mark Horvath discusses "Making Everyone Known" at TEDxYYC 2012.
In 2008, Mark Horvath, now known to many as @hardlynormal, set out to film the stories of America's homeless and share them with as many people as possible on InvisiblePeople.tv. Since then, he has become an internationally recognized activist and ambassador for the millions of individuals and families who reside in shelters, motels, tents along the streets and under highway bridges across the country.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I've worked a homeless shelter (on and off) since 2000 and have been on KZread some number of years, so I'm shocked that somewhere at some time I never came across Invisible People until about two weeks ago. I love this channel and have been telling my coworkers about it. I'm a regular viewer and I might want to help out with this channel in some way, but I'll take this discovery a step at a time here. Thank you for all you do; you also help me to appreciate what I do, as one can get a mite burnt out in this field.

Makes no sense at all. Keep saying it out loud Mark. Surely people can't continue to ignore you forever.
