Mark Horvath at TEDx SkidRow

Музыка

In 2008, Mark Horvath, now known to many as @hardlynormal, set out to film the stories of America's homeless and share them with as many people as possible on InvisiblePeople.tv. Since then, he has become an internationally recognized activist and ambassador for the millions of individuals and families who reside in shelters, motels, tents along the streets and under highway bridges across the country.
Mark has been featured by the L.A. Times, CNN, CBS, Mashable.com and NPR. He's spoken at a number of conferences and events, including Geneva Forum on Social Change, Blog World, U.S Department of State's Tech@State, Gnomedex, 140 Character Conference, Nonprofit Technology Conference and SxSW. The Huffington Post named him one of 11 Twitter activists you should follow. KZread gave InvisiblePeople.tv unprecedented exposure allowing Horvath to curate KZread's homepage for a day. Mark was asked to speak at Twitter, Inc and at charity: water. Mark has consulted for Los Angeles Police Department and USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism among many others.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

    * So thankful * for Mark and this message: the faces, stories, and Beth. Pulling no punches about believing. :-) Yes. We are all the same. We all need love, belonging, to trust, to dream, safety, food, a place to bathe, privacy... I will look for more vids from Mark that include education about how people become/remain chronically homeless.

Mark, you are really blessed. What a fascinating and diverse life you have led. The Lord has great works to do thru you. I'm excited for you. Invisible People is a blessing to people worldwide. A role model that others can follow. If everyone able will give just a little of their time or resources. Collectively that will make a tremendous difference. Thank you for your tireless efforts. Peace 🌈
