TEDxObserver - Goldie
Музыка
How art and music saved my life.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxObserver, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxObserver event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. www.ted.com/tedx

Legendary. Goldie Changed my entire perception, scope and dynamics of music in 1995 when Timeless was released. A true pioneer.

More than one actually
One of the best Ted talks i've heard. Sometimes people say things that really connect with us because they've found an unknown truth, or shed light on a truth that no one really thinks about anymore. What a legend.
Such an inspirational character. His book, 9 Lives, gives a greater insight of his life's highs and lows. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to know more about Goldie.

He made another one because he felt he was too lairy in that book 9 lives he wrote it at the time he still hadn’t sorted a lot of issues out but it is a good book in my opinion as well
He was playing a show at the Masquerade in Atlanta and I got to go pick him up from his hotel and drive him to the venue... He is my hero
absolutely incredible, what a beautiful, natural way he has of not just connecting with the audience, but with us also. This is just a a magical insight into his life, and i feel honored that I've had a glimpse into his amazing life, thank-you
brilliant...met this lovely man with his little daughter (she was 4 or 5 at the time) while buying vinyl in the basement at Blackmarket on a London visit...sweet man...
Brilliant artist. Much respect.
Pram with the baby boy inside...what an amazing thing to create as a lost boy himself! A truly great story and lesson to share.
his music is, so good, timeless
what this guy says about the kids need hope and one piece of light just couldn't be more true.
goldie is a legend
And now I know why mother was such a huge piece of art
Wonderful human being right here. Huge inspiration for me. Big up Goldie! I'll never stop bumpin' your masterpieces!
I've read his book nine lives! Warped life for sure! Genius timeless album a game changer!
Legend, absolute legend. Charming, well spoken and I've been a fan since Timeless.
Him, Photek and Bukem led me from thrash and hardcore to something a bit more jazzy...

Soulful
of all the ted talks, this one seems be the most heart felt, and therefore (in my humble opinion) most valuable/interesting talk yet.
Legend. Love this guy, his music and everything he has created and continued! Amazing!
Good on you Goldie for your music and your positive message. Thank you!
God bless Goldie
Timeless story. A message from infinity.
great talk there, and he's right. If we don't help our kids, how are we ever going to evolve and improve, in the face of all the forces trying to batter us down?
What an inspirational man, came here because I saw his cameo in Guy Ritchie's snatch. What a persona.
why is the sound scrambled?!

LOVE Goldie! Respect!
no audio when played on a cell phone cause the audio is all stereo lol
such an inspiration!!!
Listen with earbuds or headphones to hear it. Or switch your sound output to mono
Wise man, sharing amazing knowledge!
& here I thought Goldie moved me only with his tunes...
I always regarded him as a big brother from whom I learned a plethora on electronic music, dnb and ultimately about myself. Thank you, sir. You will always be part of my life, through music.
I didn't know any of this. Respect to you, sir!
'...that one bit of light into a prism of ideas...' Liked!
i dont listen to much dnb no more but listening to his tracks always brings me back
I left Frank F Harrison school 4 years well before Goldie attended. Mr Hurst was the best man I've ever meet. nobody can inspire me like he used to! he might look like C3-P0 but you gotta love the guy for showing us how to put our life's on a piece of paper and be proud of it.
Goldie is such an amazing Drum & Bass legend.
inspirational guy, you're the man goldie x
I love you and your art.
My favorite dnb musician! Goldie is a wonderful human being!

Very true words from the master. It's all about the youth
His book 9 lives is inspiring. Must read
this is so good
This is so true, I would appreciate some belief from other people, nobody others it me, so I guess I'm the only one who believe in myself...
And there it is. WE need to be more aware of the reflections of whom we are and nurture our yoot. For we are them.
What an impressive man.
This guy is my idol.
Wow what an intelligent man.

Goldie on a Tedtalk. Not even expecting this. Everyone has a story and I'm glad he told his. Oh yeah DnB was better with hard work from DJs like him.
Take audio track, invert the phase on either the left or right channel only. Fixed
please help me obtaining subtitles i really need !
Enjoyed this, thanks. Audio phase issues made it sound like my ears were about to pop tho
Love metalheadz
He's originally from the Walsall area of Birmingham, I believe.
damm never knew he was that big in graffitti. the guys he was with were all legends in nyc.
I was thinking the same .... soft spoken a bit and eloquent not just "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH" although I like that, too
No sound?
u can t dislike a dude like that
@masterdequo Cant hear any sound at all since i only got one headphone @ work :D
He should be honoured as an artist with the likes of Hurst, Picasso and dali
audio is broken please fix !!!!!!!
