Still an Outcast to the industry. Not to the fans. There are two types of people watching. He will forever be an Outcast to the industry.

Nate puts just as much effort into his live performances as the videos. I went to a 250 person show in no where Indiana years ago right when this song came out. He BROUGHT the damn CAGE on stage in the dark between songs and was in it when the lights came back. Been to many events since and I’ve never felt a crowd go as hard as that night chanting “I’ll just be the outcast”
@grain9640

It's amazing how vigilant of the crowd he is while performing. I know that many times he has stopped performing if something is wrong with one person in the crowd, like he'll see it and stop performing and point it out until the problem is resolved This one time a drunk guy was harassing some women and he noticed it in the huge crowd while he was performing, and he stopped the show to have him thrown out. He also stops if he thinks someone is having a medical problem to ask if they are ok.

He brought the shopping cart out on his clouds tour. That must have been amazing to see him in such a small venue. We saw him at Runoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana and it looks like it was about sold out. I'm not good about estimating crowd sizes but close to 20,000.

You’re not the only person in the world that isn’t okay. There’s millions of us just like you, like you, like you. Just like you, like you.😉
Nate absolutely loves when the crowd participates with him. He talks about how he even watches people in the crowd who are mouthing his lyrics and he jokes about people at his concerts who just stand there or don't know the lyrics. I agree he is thinking of his fans when he writes more hype songs. He wants everyone to join in. Also all his videos where you see a crowd those are fans. He always asks his fans to be a part of his videos that have a lot of people in it. Like Outcast, When I Grow Up or Leave Me Alone, etc. ❤
Ive been to an NF concert where he has preformed this song, and having an entire crown singing along to the chrous of this was probably my favorite concert expirience ever. It was so powerful you could feel it in the floor, and everybody in the crowd just all being strangers but being able to relate to each other through one chorus was amazing

"Why do i keep putting my hands on my hips like someones mum at a soccer game?" You had me dying! Hahaha
So we went to see him in September of 2021. His show opener was Paid My Dues, which you will get to when you get to The Search. I believe there were 20,000+ people there. We were all jumping and singing the chorus together. I've never seen anything like it! The most hyped I've ever been at a live event! Once you get to it, look up his concerts from the 2021 tour and watch the first song. Absolute fire 🔥
You are spot on about Outcast! I’ve been lucky enough to go to two of his shows and this song is fire as everyone is jumping and chanting along. So much energy. Another great reaction!
It's because Mike was at an award show and kept yelling "Mansion" to every question when being interviewed
@ammamamma22

Think he also had bright green “Jared Leto joker” hair in that interview
Mike Posner is a popular singer-songwriter best known for his singles “Cooler Than Me” and “I Took a Pill In Ibiza.” At the 2016 Grammy Awards, Mike and blackbear showed up to the red carpet with green hair, just like the Joker, to promote their new group, mansionz. (Took this from lyric genius)
I absolutely LOVE that you finally understand his choruses like I do. I wasn’t a 100% fan until I went to his show in 2021. The songs that seemed okay to me instantly became amazing!!!! Can’t wait to go see him again!

Oh, Teddy. By 5 minutes in, my stomach already hurt from laughing. "Why do I keep putting my hands on my hips?" 🤣 I just love how YOU love music, lyrics and meanings. I am a metalhead by nature but have found the NF journey on your and another group's channels to be incredible. The whole "source" bar -- I just assumed it was check the source (like who badmouthed him) and never even thought about the different meanings. This is case in point why I love watching you react to and dissect these tracks. Peace!
These are all NF fans in this music video as well!! He has had fans participate in Outcast, When I Grow Up, Leave Me Alone, and now Motto! 😁 I was lucky to be apart of Motto and When I Grow Up! ❤️

Had to stop your vid at 10:45 to tell you that you are exactly right about his hooks. His music comes so much from his heart, he bleeds then in his verses so by the time he gets to the hook it’s a chance for his fans to give him that energy back. I’ve been loving all of your reaction, I’ve commented on all of them I think.

@@TeddyGreyOS yeah I try and comment because I know it helps the algorithm and you are a great reactor. But like he said in Motto, these songs weren’t made for the radio. So yeah as a music aficionado they can be hard to understand sometimes as they are often not that catchy, it’s all about the content of the verses

Someone might have already said this but that kid at the end of Motto is in NF’s video “When I Grow Up.” Also the car NF is in in Motto is in the same video as well as his “Story” video.

11:36 - The “Money where my mouth’s at” line, is actually a double. When he says “Take 100 and staple it right to my tongue” he’s really talking about the phrase Keeping it 💯 Like he’s gonna keep it 100 with every bar he spits, you might as well staple it to his tongue. So he connects both phrases. Since both “Keeping it 100” and “Putting your money where your mouth is” mean basically the same thing, just in different words.

Felt like a few bars in Clouds NF fired back at em especially the whole "lame with no weight to my name" part talking about even his b side throws them off.. or in Motto he talks about he doesn't care for his idols anymore when he's talked about idolizing em in several early interviews
Nate's flow is SO underrated. He can say things in a manner that just sound better than if someone else tried to say the same thing.
Love your reactions bro. You arent a fake one.
I was blessed to see this album live!! Best concert I’ve ever seen, his cinematic live is STILL fire
ICONIC in Nate's catalog!!! Pure FLAMEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!
Been to two Nf shows and you will never match the energy the crowds and NF brings. I was leaning into my neighbors and celebrating with these complete strangers. Singing together with tears running down my face. Unashamed and all in!!!!! Love music. That’s the power of Real Music!!!!
I know you’re staying on with this list, but I really think “Nate” is a track that you should add in right before “when I grow up” - it’s so good
Not sure if your question was answered in the live chat, but Mike Posner was at the 2016 Grammy Awards with bright green hair like the joker. Was supposed to be some type of advertisement for a new group he was going to be in called Mansionz.
With the rap God bar in outro I feel like it's more so addressing the people that keep comparing him to em rather then a direct dig at em
Yeah I don't know what that Source bar was about the magazine or not but Rolling Stones did publish article about his music thrashing him and he came out with the song paid my dues as a response you'll get to that video pretty soon it's 🔥
I'm pretty sure the extras around the cage in this video are his fans too, the same as a lot of his videos, he always uses fans
If you noticed the shopping cart that was in the corner of the mansion in Hope… it shows up in The Search (album/song) to me it is a portable representation of the cage/Mansion when he steps outside. A barrier or safety from letting others get to close. My thoughts on it.. others may see it differently ✌️♥️
17:15 In the first bar when he mentioned “graphic” he was eluding to women.
I saw him at concert in 2018 perform this. He got on top of the cage and started rapping, the crowd loved it. Mike Posner was one of the original jokers. Also mike posners cooler than me was one of my favorite song ever 😂. Also the kid from motto is from when I grow up, one of the two fans listening to him while he performed go check it! Yep been years sense this song till now and love reactions blew my mind to think of it to what your saying. Almost like his songs / to albums are planed years ahead of release. It’s a damn story to put you on the nf journey he’s brilliant
This song was so freaking good I need to go and listen to it more closely. Thanx for this evenight !
"Getting the fans together" He collected a lot of fans for his latest single and music video for the song MOTTO
First off Teddy…absolutely love the passion behind what you’re doing and happy to see you’ve joined the NF fam…most of us have been on this journey for years and are always happy to see it when people discover him. Just my opinion but I don’t feel like you should be skipping anything. I think you should run through his entire track list as he really doesn’t have a “bad” song. Some are much better than others but they’re all pretty dope and super diverse. I would look up his discography on Apple Music and just start filling in the tracks you’ve missed so far on the journey and fill them in until you’re caught up. Once you’re caught up, you can even go back to his Moments album and react to “Circles” which doesn’t have much to do with his journey since it’s such an early piece of work but the first glimpse of the genius he’d grow to be. Either way, you do you but I think you’d be pleasantly surprised and really don’t have to follow anyone’s list in particular. Follow HIS list. Much love…Be safe

The chant like hooks are kinda his thing. You'll see that in a LOT of his songs

I appreciate you doing the deep dive my friend!
Also to be clear he's very much not in a beef with enimen😅 (just in case your thinking that). He actually really respects him and gives credit to him because he used to listen to him all the time as a kid and growing up. So he never really specifically calls him out in songs or actively tries to diss him like some people think (which goes for all his songs cause he doesn't make "diss tracks" for specific people like most rappers do. Just the industry in general as you saw in MOTTO😂). There are a lot of people who like to pretend they have some huge beef just because there are some similaries between them but its not a thing honestly, just people trying to stir shit up and spread gossip like usual😧
You get Nate so you're one of us now. Welcome to the Outcasts! #NF 😎

the mike tyson, not bite ya part was actually a refrence to mike tyson biting evander holyfields ear in a boxing match xD, one of my favorite lines

The "Put a camera in my face, might turn Joker like I'm Mike Posner" bar was tallkin about Mike Posner when he died his hair Joker green for the Grammys.
Change is probably my all time best NF song just for the meaning.
You are officially an outcast now
Hey Teddy looooving your NF journey! Just wanted to suggest some twenty one pilots when you are done! I would gladly provide you with a journey list and info there as well. Rap is still there just not everything they do and their imagery is even more intricate than nf's but seeing you resonate with so many themes they share makes me interested to see how you would react to twenty one pilots' bars and story
You have to do the search, when I grow up, those are great videos and songs. Loving these NF reactions
Please NF every day!😊
Mike Posner was at a red carpet event with Blackbear they had green hair and were cutting up and kept saying Manison over and over, it’s on you tube
The kid at the end of Motto is in "When I Grow Up"
this was second track on perception after Intro III
The reaction so nice I had to like it twice.👌🙌
Looked through didn't see anyone saying anything bout Posner. It was a reference to him dying his hair green when he was nominated for song of the year forth Pill in Ibiza remix
Love your reaction 🔥❤️ In 2016 Mike Posner and blackbear showed up to the red carpet with green hair just like the Joker. NF is wearing black smile in the style of the Joker.
Heeyyooo...I have been watching you for so long, but I never really comment. But I wanted to say something regarding the chorus. XD Yes, I went to this tour actually, and he had a huge cage on the stage and was hanging off it. XD And he had everyone jumping up and down screaming "I'll just be the outcast" while the lights were going wild. It was a vibe. So, I definitely agree about that one. Because they are typically pretty repetitive, and it does make the concerts a lot more vibey. Loved the reaction as always, my friend. Good day! :))
Yes haven't gone to a NF show it goes so hard when we all chant
OMG! I died when he tried to pronounce those 2 actors names. Jared's last name is said as: "Let-O". And Joaquin is: wah-keen. I believe it's a Spanish name. But I don't think he's Hispanic. Has Teddy tried saying Nathan's last name yet? I'm gonna say nah. Gotta keep watching, can't wait, lol. Also, ❤️ these reaction vids to NF. Been a fan since All I Have dropped in 2015, & bought tickets to see him live for the 1st time on the Hope tour in Georgia (USA). Excited!! 🙌
Your soccermom comment at the end had me laughing. Caught me off guard. Gotta clean the tea from my screen now. 😅
As you talked about the fans all singing along to I’ll just be an outcast in the video itself there’s fans out the cage jumping along and saying that that they will just be an outcast but I can only imagine what a whole stadium of fans singing along to that would be

I think Nate is actually referring to when Mike Tyson bit a portion of one dudes ear off.
