The only problem i had with this show was we didnt get enough tracy. Still one of the best shows out there.

yeah, but that was the point. the point of the story was that ted never actually stopped loving robin. that’s why there’s more of robin than tracy.

i feel like i've met my robin, but not my tracy yet. My robin seems to be just someone i cant stop loving, no matter how ihard i try, no matter how many times we break up, we get back together even stronger. And every night i have the thought of she not being "the one". ITs actually very smiliar to ted's case, i here love to express my love to her in many ways but she isnt that type of a romantic person. It isnt like she doesnt love MY acts or anything, thats just who she is. Always has been. I feel like im stuck in wanting to break up with her or staying with her forever, becaue without moving on from her i'll never be able to love someone new the way i love her. MAybe my tracy doesnt even exist, maybe it has to be the robin for me

To be honest in the scene of Time Travelers episode I have no idea what was Ted talking about and then eventually when I found out she's no longer exist my excitement about this show turned off because we've been waiting for 9 season to watch just to watch her die in the end and just as we thought this show ended up with Ted and Robin. I know it's harsh to say this but don't you wanna see how she spends just a little more time the gang, how Ted and Tracy sing 500 mile song when they're on the way to the Farhampton or at least one short scene how they're taking care of their kids... Because I do. There's maybe some of you guys agree with me or not, But I'll proudly say Tracy is the charm of the show and she didn't deserve this ending. Disclaimer : I'm just typing down what I wanted to say and deeply apologize for my grammar or misunderstood on some point.

I totally agree, Tracy deserved so much better, a better ending, more screentime. She's my second favorite character in the show and she had like two scenes. Also Ted and Tracy were absolutely amazing as a couple, they should've had more scenes.

I think its rather poetic and actually quite good that Tracy died in the end but NOT. TED. AND. ROBIN. I also think they should've had a season 10, which is Barney and Robin with marriage, Lily and Marshall in Rome, and Ted and Tracy living together, then Tracy died at the end of the season, it would be sadder because we know her more

Im a believer that series or movie need a ending the characters deserve and up the characters stories well enough like a good old where did they end up montage ( least classy), maybe just a zoom out of the main characters in the bar or 1year later type season or just an episode or 2, or the extreme rogue one style give them a hero’s death. Tracy deserved more time, Barney and robin should’ve stayed together and Barney should’ve gone on a book tour with the bro-code, I think we should’ve gotten a lily and marshal in Italy series arc and a zoom out from the main group in the garden of ted’s house drink beer while their kids play basketball with Barney’s basketball hoop in the background or something like that to give a type of bar vibe but showing they grew up and Barney’s hoop is just a nice call back

If Ted could go back, he wouldn't spend more time with Robin. He would spend all of that time with Tracy, the true love of his life.

I love how people still care about this show. I just finished my 7th rewatch a week ago. And this is such a good point, no matter how much the writers tried to force the Ted and Robin narrative, Tracy is the love of his life and he told them that story to show how much he had to get through and how he became the person he is to finally end up with her to get his happy ending of his long romantic journey. I didnt mind that Tracy died (as much as I loved her), it made it all sadder, like hey, hes trying to honor the experience of finding her and he ended up in his stories for her to live on through him and through his children. It wasnt a story of how he was in love with Robin the entire time, it was the story of what he had to do to get to his happy ending, what obstacles he had along the way, who he had to let go and ultimately what amazing friends he made. And how the journey was worth the wait and how the only thing he hates is that he couldnt spent eternity with her. (Sorry, got carried away.)

I want to cry for a week and beyond...

When he says he believes a little less a little less and a little less everyday I felt that.

The show could have easily given Tracy the perfect ending making this easily the best sit com ever but they chose not to. Not because they are stupid but because the show is supposed to be bitter sweet. So even when we finish the show years ago we all come back to appreciate those few episodes with their mother. The show was supposed to teach the values of love and friendship and it did just that. Because by losing the mother you were able to appreciate what they had and are now able to open your eyes to the inevitable Ted and Robin. Because his soulmate is Robin but his one true love was Tracy. You can’t choose both but you have to love them for as much and as long as you can. Tracy’s time just happened to be shorter. And at least she kept her promise on seeing max one day :’)

Tracy was his soul mate and his true love. They just mishandled everything and then repented by creating the official alternative ending. In the talk with Klaus she makes it clear that Tracy was the one for him. They just made a lot of mistakes and mishandled last season

@@honestperson3042 Yes the ending didn't synchronised with the story line the show followed since S3. It was not natural And was very forced thats why the finale is the lowest rated episode of Himym and they had to come out with an official alternate ending.

Robin wasn't his soulmate, wtf hehehe. With Robin everything was just forced, he did things simply because he was obsessed with her. On the other hand, with Tracy there was a synchrony, they were both on the same frequency, she was his soul mate.

Tracy deserved more. More screen time, more appearance, more.

I understand why the writer's did what they did. However, the ending kills me because it felt like not only were they punishing the fans because we fell for the barney and robin relationship which had so much chemistry just like Ted and Tracy but they were punishing the characters because they regressed instead of loving the mother she became the Fridged Woman and Ted became lost in his stories again.

It’s okay, in my mind she didn’t really die and they grew old together and died notebook style. The show destroyed itself with its finale so it’s the job of true fans to revive it with how it should have ending, the only way it should have ended and that’s all there is to it. 🥰🥳

I find people who hate the official ending to be as shallow as hell... HIMYM is far more than just another stupid sitcom with happy ending. You don't understand how true the series is yet how poetic the authors were while writing the story. HIMYM is LIFE - it's brutal, you don't always get what you want, even if you pay for it. Life just happens, with laughter and smiles, tears and death. The series shows how short lifetime is and what people should care about the most - their closest ones. Friends are today but tomorrow they'll be gone with their own issues and we are left alone if we don't find someone to share our life with. And you don't know if there is a happy ending between Ted and Robin - you just see that he comes with the blue horn as he did in the past, but all the series shows is uncertainty and you never know what's going to happen. Yet the story is so logical if you think for a moment. After someone dies it takes courage to find someone else, especially if you are as emotional as Ted. It took him 6 years to numb the pain but the scar after Tracy will last forever, yet he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life alone, you wouldn't too. That is why I love HIMYM - it's unpredictable, like life.
