This is maybe my fav scene, truly. I love this scene, it's beautifully put up together. The words, the song, the scenes featuring Robin, Barney... it's perfect. And I really like to emphasize how much this song is beautiful, it's my fav song in the series and it's one of my fav songs ever, I cry almost everytime I listen to it. God, it's so beautiful

Spot on. It's why I cannot stomach the ending.

This scene is a masterpiece just like the show. I love Friends but to me it could never compare with moments like these. The music crashing in with the moment is genius. Scenes like when Ted hypothetically tells Stella off but let’s it go when he sees her with Tony and the kid, when Barney hypothetically meets Nora’s parents but reality checks in and he actually walks away, and this one is the reason this show is unmatched.

I use to watch this wherever I was down, and hope I would find my lifelong treasurer. Eventually I did ,1 year ago I met her. And Instantly clicked like a puzzle piece. I never thought in a million life times it was even possible to find someone like her but I met my Tracy. Stay positive everyone your someone is out there

Nah I am around the same age Ted was by the end. Find it very unlikely… That and the solitude is very comforting as is the peace that brought. So I am not miserable, just finally at peace. Which is one of those things I always wanted. Though good for you man… cherish that. Wish you well.

one of the best thing about HIMYM is the music score, which is always so purposeful and timely. The Funeral coming on a third of the way through the speech is just too perfect. Also the lyrics: I'm coming up only to hold you under, andcoming uponly to show you're wrong -- already foreshadowing Victoria is not the one.

One of the best scenes. Tracy and Ted together were absolute perfection, soul mates.

I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that this amazing show is over ,, I watched it when I was down or happy it’s always makes u feel alive with so emotional scenes

This show is full of clues if can catch them...sometimes its even synchronicity to your own life...I seen the episode were Marshall 1st here's about his father passing away the day before I heard my sister passed away

I thought the whole Victoria/Klaus storyline was so weird and random when 8th season aired but now that I’m older; realize how relevant it is. People seem so perfect until you’re living with them .. and their problems

The lightning flash always will , and literally just gave me chills

Best scene ever. Followed by one of the most iconic entrances in TV history. I know they show her face much later, but this is still iconic, with Funeral playing in the background!

I get chills when I hear this speech it’s such a beautiful look on soulmates and love.

For weeks I felt like the girl I had broken up with was the one I was supposed to be with for the rest of my life and I tried getting her back multiple times and couldn’t stop thinking about her and getting upset all the time. Those couple weeks felt like an entire lifetime and it was so hard to do anything that felt normal. One day I turned on how I met your mother and this was the next episode up in queue and after I saw this scene I realized that the girl I was with for so long, the one who I’d given everything to, just wasn’t it. I thought about it for days and then realized that I never felt that way when I was with her. I don’t know what the feeling truly feels like but I just know deep down it wasn’t it. Now I’ve truly started to move on and I’m getting my life back again one piece at a time. Update: thank you everyone for the likes and the comments. I’m doing well and I am truly happy with how my life is. I hope everyone who responded to this comment is also doing well. Take care all❤️

For me, it is exactly the same. Thanks for giving me hope! My ex and I broke up 15th of august this year. We have met each other 4 times since then, with yesterday the last time. Because I can't take it anymore. The horror of not knowing if we can get back together or not. I still love her and I only think about the good things we did together. She does as well. But yesterday she was the one who didn't want to try again. How badly she wanted it, she still said it wouldn't be a good move. And I think she's right. With all the low points in our relationship, I think it's safe to say she wasn't the one. But I still deeply love her. Just like you say in your comment. I feel you. I hope someday I can look back and feel good about the whole relationship journey. Right now it's still haunting me. Thanks for the hopeful comment!

I believe it is true that we all find it eventually. But the sad truth is that the person might not feel the same way. Or maybe just the timing is wrong. Because timing truly is everything. Doesn't mean you should give up. Just means you shouldn't spend your life believing that you can only be happy once you have it. How do I know this? Because I've felt it. And yes, the timing was wrong. And sure, it can happen again. But as much as I relate to Ted, spending your life searching for "the one" is a mistake.

30th May, a month after my greatest heartbreak, I was suddenly reminded of this song today. Came to revisit the scene on KZread today. I was chasing my Robin, obsessed, trying to force destiny, but I have to accept that I cannot make someone love me, I have accept that they do not love me the way I love them. I have to accept it no matter how painful it is. However, I feel I was meant to see this today. I have been a Ted Mosby all my life. Chased love, given my all, accepted the bare minimum and called it love. I am in the Season 8 of my life, and I look around and see myself all alone. But this gives me hope. Leaving this comment today hoping I will find my Lebenslangerschicksalsschatz one day. And the day I find him I am going to come back and watch this video again. ❤

If there was an award for "best scenes", this would win.

To me this is one of the reasons this show could be perfect. I mean there are definitely some things that age and other parts of the show, but this is just a true beautiful life lesson about someone who is worth waiting for and prove that romance isn't dead.

So what we learnt from here is Klaus is not interested in Ted's schnitzel.

Whenever I hear this song or think of this song at my lowest, I always see that iconic yellow umbrella in my mind. That yellow umbrella symbolising the long lost hope in my life, consolidation, a road to recovery. When it comes to life long lessons about love, family, and just life itself, I can not recommend How I Met Your Mother enough.

This might continue to be my favorite show. The writing is amazing.

Before this scene, you feel sorry for Claus. But, then he explained to Ted that he left Victoria because she basically wasn't "The One".

I am with you on this one. I mean maybe some people experience this but I always think that's just the first part of a relationship where you see someone without flaws. It's the love they talk about in the movies that's true love at first sight and all that. To me love is something that grows. Me and my girlfriend had huge 'chemistry' when we first met. But we didn't love each other that fast. Love is seeing someone's flaws and loving them still. You wouldn't even change them.

Everytime I saw this scene (in German), I was wondering what it was like in the original English version. Well now I know. But I am a bit disappointed that Klaus isn't a real German actor. His German doesn't sound natural and I could hardly understand what he was saying.

This was always my favorite scene and I clung onto it thinking I would find somebody and instantly fall for her. And I was right. I met her online 3 weeks ago and from the moment I saw her face I knew I loved her I felt it everywhere. We ended up talking for 10 hours straight and we both said the L word on the first day. We made plans to meet up In person even though we live 5 hours apart and neither of us can drive I've even saved up 300quid to fund the journey. There is not a single thing I dislike about her, She is perfect.

Starting watching this show in Lockdown even at times where nothing in life is running and everything is closed and nothing is normal, life is still moving and those little pieces of the puzzle are still working. Cheesy but true and important to remember.

This video is a place where i come when everything is going well or everything is going bad. Its funny how i here come with two different perspectives but always feel better after watching

I love how it is practically destiny. There is a path to take to get to the destin-ation. But is it where you are supposed to go?

The fact that they outright say Ted doesn't think Robin is his Lebenslangeraxhicksalsschatz and states to his kids Tracy was. Then also showing Robin pinning over Barney and Barney being unhappy with Quinn. Makes me even more annoyed at the finale. Clearly the implication of this scene was that Lily and Marshall are each other Lebenslangeraxhicksalsschatz. And that Robin and Barney are each other Lebenslangeraxhicksalsschatz. With ted waiting on Tracy who will be his.

This scene was one of the most sensational in HIMYM.

Damn, I was lately on my all-time low due to a hard first relationship mix-up. I had so mixed feelings that I thought about that girl and my feelings towards her all the time... and yet, after all the rewatches, this show keeps giving me the hope and wisdom that I need at times. "If you have to think about it, you have not felt it", I guess that it wasn't that real after all and it was mostly my loneliness that did the talking.

I definitely feel this feeling, I knew I felt this way but I tried to think I didn’t feel this way, I just pray the day can come where I can tell her how much I love her and how much I just want to make her happy. I pray that I can tell her all of this no matter if she feels the same about me or not

This was one of the most beutiful moments of the show. I hope one day i can enjoy rewatching this show with the person i fall in love with.
