I thought HIMYM looked stupid as hell when it was originally on; I saw commercials for it and just didn't get it. Then one day I decided to give it a try... now it plays as my background noise while I cook, clean, mow the lawn, etc. Love,love, love this show!

am i the only one that really liked the "glass shattering" episode. that last part, where it just devolves into the five of them ripping each other apart is unbearably hilarious :p

@@njh123 I thought the ending was horrible. They should just ended it with the alternate ending. There are few shows that have had horrible endings I can name a few. All of them being the first one is Two and a Half Men that was the worst but it sure does suck during season 9 because Charlie Sheen was fired. To add another show would be scrubs which had a horrible ending to and season 9 was awful. Here's one more being How I Met Your Mother had a horrible ending.

My absolute favorite episode is when Ted, Marshall and Lily go to that concert and Ted and Marshall get super high and they walk around the venue for what they thought was the whole show and they kept thinking the bathroom line was the nacho line but then Lily comes out and she’s like “it’s been 2 minutes” and they show was what really happened. Kills me every time My second favorite episode is in the 9th season when Marshall was explaining the second to last slap and how he wanted to learn how to slap really hard, fast and accurately. And Teds master persona was funny af.

I like the episode that Ted first date with Tracy. "What are you doing?""Remembering this."These two lines were the best of all time.

i can’t pick a favorite but i love any episode involving the slap bet, when they got high at the concert, barney’s suit song, anytime they mention a page in the playbook, the price is right episode, the limo, when robin’s news show is actually worth watching but they miss all of it, and the ducky tie. there’s just too many good moments in the show i love

This was my favourite show of all time I wish they could bring it back I had so many hours of fun floating into the weird and wonderful world of Ted Mosby & Barney Stinson there is now a huge void in my life :-(

I'm not stating my own personal opinion on the finale (lord knows we'd be here forever if I did), but it's pretty much common knowledge at this point that the finale pissed off many fans of the show. So that's the main reason why HIMYF was cancelled.

I remember in 2005, I was 16, just finished my final year at school and we had a 7 week holiday. I had this old tv- with an Ariel that needed to be placed at the right angle just to only get Channel 1 and 2. It was like 1:30am in the UK, and I stumbled across this show on channel 2- and I thought ok I’ll watch it. At the time, I didn’t have a TV guide or teletext on my tv- so never knew when this show would appear. But randomly I’ll turn my tv on at 1:30 some nights and it would be on. Made me feel like there’s so much more to the world and anything can happen- especially with all the fun they had in NY in season 1. I never really saw season 2 after... and that show always played on my mind- as no one else knew about it...Flash forward- 4 years. I’m at uni, I have a girlfriend now and I’m staying over her house. She’s gone work- and I watch series on her laptop- and I find this show and I’m like OMG! It’s that show I watched in 2005... and wait... there’s more seasons!! I remember watching episode after episode sitting in her bed. Loving every minute. The show made me feel humble, made me think there’s so much to life and to just live for every moment and adventure. The greatest show of all... wait for it...time!

That airport scene is definitely one of my favourite scenes on television! I think my fave episode is the 3 minute date with Stella. Hands down the best date-scene on television. Every time I watch it I feel sad they didn't end up together even though they would never have worked out even if her ex hadn't come to the wedding.

When Ted meets future and past barney and ted. That was a poignant, ingenious episode. Very underrated.

Oh man, the Karate Slap episode (season 09 E14) is the funniest! I mean, I had a few laughs at several episodes, but the 3 masters thing OMG! I laughed so hard when Ted answered how old he was.

I watched all then new episodes when they first came out and i still watch loads of them now, damn this show is like my life

I think one of my favorite epsidodes is the one where they are driving in this limousine through New York City go get to the 5 parties, idk it has such a good, fun and in the last part romantic atmosphere. You can see how good the relationships between the friends are and I always dream that things like this will happen to me and my future friends (when I find REALLY friends, not these toxic people, I think I have one REAL best friend and some good friends, the rest don’t really care about me yeah)

The only thing wrong with this show is how Ted and Barney kept passing Robin back and forth to each other. Showing Robin as a tramp. I mean that was nasty. No parent wants their child to see something like that on TV, and alot of parents and other people don't either. Can't they have a family show without all that slutness. Rather than that, how I met your mother was Ok
