You know what right this show came into my life at such the perfect time. As an alcoholic in recovery it’s such a valuable lesson to learn that whilst I will always be an alcoholic I can change. And just because i have made that decision to change doesn’t mean I can be perfect all the time. I mean in my 29 days of sobriety I have been far from perfect but it’s about learning to accept who you truly are and utilising those around you who you know truly care. This show and Diamond Dogs is perfection on another level and whilst it won’t be my salvation it has taught me so much and brought me immense comfort at a time where I had none. A masterpiece through and through

I loved that Trent became a DD. Trent is a character that I loved from the time he first sat down to interview Ted at the restaurant. He only kept growing as one of my favorites. He used to be a writer who was vicious just to make a name, but he wound up being a man who would compromise a source because he respected Ted so much. He didn’t sweat being let go, because he was hopeful and optimistic. He decide to shadow the team to do a book because he was so inspired by how earnest Ted was, Ted changed the team AND him to a point where by the end I felt silly for even considering that Trent was following Colin to out him. Trent just felt like a good person who fell in love with seeing the good in people instead of the worst.

See jaws is a great analogy for what Beard is getting at though: it’s a perfect movie but it’s not perfect. It still has flaws, but those flaws are part of what adds up to an incredible experience. If it weren’t for those flaws, it wouldn’t be as great as it is. We define perfection as being without flaws but what perfection is really is being in harmony with one’s flaws. Acknowledging and Allowing those flaws to exist and contribute to making you who you are. Always striving to grow but not denying the reality of who you are.

I think it's interesting that Trent says people don't change so much as accept who they always were, while mostly everyone else disagrees. Cause, I think Trent is coming from a queer perspective. When I look back on my life and the changes throughout it, my first instinct is to say "Well, I'm a gay trans man now", but I always was, I just learned to accept it, and I'd imagine Trent (having been married to a woman) might feel the same way. So, if that was written with that perspective in mind, that's genius.

I love this scene so much, because it not only speaks volumes for how much all the characters have grown, but also the major lessons that they were taught. Trent learned to just be himself in his writing and with other people, letting go of that "cold writer" facade he had at the beginning of S1, so to him there isn't changing, there's just accepting who you are. Nate took a turn to the dark side and lost himself, re-found himself, and is back on the path that lets him grow in confidence and as a person. Beard is literally an ex-convict with a wild side who has learned to tame it without necessarily getting rid of that part of himself (personal growth from before the series). Then there's Leslie who in my opinion is a stand in for the growth that Rebecca has gone through, the person who was scornful and bitter of everyone around her just for being happy, who learned to let go of that hatred and accept those people for both their help and just who they are in general, which allowed Leslie to completely break out of his shell. By this point in the series I forgot that he was set up as the "plucky nervous assistant" in the beginning, and has become such a cheerleader (I mean that endearingly) for everyone around him. It's just *so* well done

Get another day brother. The secret is distancing yourself from the last drink and being the places where you drink. And every time you think of drinking tell someone. Have some food. God bless brother!
This show is a perfect work of art.
It’s moments like this that make me realize that Higgins is truly the Best Dad on the show.
Jamie looking in the window in the back. I'm 💀
"I've busted my fucking ass trying to change. But apparently I'm fucking shit because...I'm still me." That hurt me so deeply. I think a lot of us feel that way. This was like the closing statement of Ted Lasso.

And yet understanding that we are us no matter what is essential to growth.
The look on coach beard's face after “can people change” is very meaningful, knowing what we know about him from the finale.
Trenthouse Magazine!! 😂😂😂 God, I’ll miss this show… 🐕
I’m 55 years old & I’ve watched many many shows over the years and I can say this without a doubt, this show is absolutely my favorite all-time… Hail to the Diamond Dogs!!
What Higgins said is absolutely spot on.... Asking for help, advice and tips goes a long way to helping you become what you think you should be...But also beware of the bad advice too....those end up being the hard lessons that sometimes takes a lifetime to get over.
Roy's "Ruff Ruff" is perfect.
The shoulder shimmy ruff kills me every time 😂
I got so absurdly excited hearing “can I be a diamond dog” I knew the classic junk yard dog would come around
Love how Ted looks directly at the camera when they are looking for hidden cameras 😁😁😁 1:34
4:55 Roy’s face 😂
❤️Billy Joel’s “Strangers” album. Perfect. I’ve said that for years.
4:37 HELP I CANT STOP REPLAYING ROYS ‘ruff ruff’

See jaws is a great analogy for what Beard is getting at though: it’s a perfect movie but it’s not perfect. It still has flaws, but those flaws are part of what adds up to an incredible experience. If it weren’t for those flaws, it wouldn’t be as great as it is. We define perfection as being without flaws but what perfection is really is being in harmony with one’s flaws. Acknowledging and Allowing those flaws to exist and contribute to making you who you are. Always striving to grow but not denying the reality of who you are.

Grace Kelly’s eyes and the mighty redwood are the best 😂
Ok, Roy going from completely abhorring anything to do with the DDs to actually barking and panting with them… Worth the wait.

Now that he’s manager, there’s a weekly meeting. Jamie becomes a member two months into the next season, and Will stops lurking in the boot room and is invited in by Nate.

Also in my head canon, Rebecca tells Roy about “Oklahoma” and it’s significance; it’s when Roy knows Rebecca truly trusts him, and he holds back retirement press conference-style tears.

Yeno what, I actually love this so much I'm telling myself this is what happened after Ted left, especially the part where Rebecca tells Roy about Oklahoma
I just got the joke "trenthouse magazine" 😂
Nate excitedly hopping up on his shelf is perfect.
Lmao😂😂😂 Jaime looking into the room when everyone starts barking 😂😂
This was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!! Going to miss Diamond Dog's mounting up!!
I think Roy was the most loveable character on the show. ❤️
Roy Kent: “Can I be a Diamond Dog?” (Ted immediately checks for a wire tap)
There are a couple little looks involving Nate where he just looks at the others with hope and then with gratitude at their continued forgiveness and acceptance of him. This show had no right being this great.
“ I won't scatter your sorrow to the heartless sea. I will always be with you. Plant your roots in me. I won't see you end as ashes. You're all diamonds.” -Ted Lasso
Perfection isn't obtained but something that someone can strive to be.
1:34 Just noticed Ted looking straight at the camera when he‘s looking for the hidden cameras 😄
They think they're on a prank show, and Beard checks his own sleeve. 😂
Love when Nate hops up on the bookshelf. He does it with such joy! :)
I couldn't stand nate at the end of season 2 and somehow the writers made me love him again! The writing in this is amazing 😊
I love how Higgins is basically Ted at the whole perfect clincher advice at the right time, he just didn't have the same confidence at the beginning. With Ted back home, they're not going to lose that wholesome guidance.
i seriously adore this show. so much feel good man. every character.
4:52 - Roys face with such childlike delight
God I love this so much
1:35 Jason looks directly at camera. Cute.
this is probably why Bill Lawrence (show runner), is comfortable moving from this show to “Shrinking”. another AWESOME show.
What I love about this is how they all immediately picked up on what Ted was doing with the hidden cameras bit, and started playing along

I thought they were looking for the real Roy Kent instead of the imposter in front of them
Ted breaking the 4th wall for a second there 😅😅😅
3 seasons was too short.....want more!! 😢
This show is perfect.
"Trenthouse Magazine" `🤣🤣🤣
this show is perfect
I Love how Ted looks at Beard when he mentions Change and getting better ❤
I adore that Ted/Jason looks directly at the camera during the search for hidden cameras😂
now I really want to have Richmond's jersey.
lmao never even noticed this. 1:34 while they're looking for cameras, Jason looks RIGHT into the camera. Love it.
I like how Sudeikis in fact, looked at the camera he was looking for 🤣🤣
Nate went from zero to grey fast AF
So damn good,, and it took me too long to start watching it
Beard looking in his own sleeve. 🤣❤🤣❤
I love it when "Ted" look at the real camera xD
I doubt this is the best show ever but I'd bet it's in the top 99.99%
Actually gasped when Roy asked to join
Roy could just growl, like he always does.
now that Ted has left for home, will the guys still do Diamond Dogs? i think they will.

Pretty sure they still form the diamond dogs just with Roy in Ted's presence
I wish this is what men in a locker room were really like.
So in the end, it didn’t appear that Roy & Keeley get back together. I always thought that Roy and Phoebe’s teacher would make a good pair.
This was the most casually dude conversation I've ever seen depicted on screen.
One of the top 5 shows of all time imho. But what do I know.
OMG I love the f’king Diamond Dogs!!😂😂😂😂❤❤
Should have just put on Rocky 4, it answers the question perfectly.
Love teds glance into the camera at 1:36
This scene feels like a moment out of Letterkenny and Shoresy without any swearing lolol.
Wuff wuff. Perfect scene.
I like Trent's answer about self acceptance. If you think about the timeline he probably only broke up with his wife around season one or a little before. So living as his true self was probably still reasonably new.
Ted Lasso articulately describes UEFA 👍🏽
Roy sticking his tongue out like Beard after Nate admits that he has a girlfriend is absolutely everything ❤
Roys’ bark!
1:34 Ted found a camera 😆
Higgins give the best advice. Yet he’s peoples last option when they need advice.
Diamond dogs ❤
"the other side of the pillow" ❤😂
"Trenthouse Magazine" 😂
Higgins had the best advice. I miss this show
Never was an emoticon more appropriat😂
2:49 the way Ted woofs🥺🥺🥺🥺🫠🫠🫠
