I tested Triax for two hours. I am very very impressed with the spin and control, but at the same time good power and touch. I play primarily polys but would consider making this my go to string

I wouyld love more detailed info on how strings feels for slicees, inside out, serves, flat, topspin, volley control, wear, tension dropoff, etc. Thx! This is my top 3 tennis channels!

Great review. I would like to ask how does the Triax compare to the x-one biphase, NRG2 and Babolat xcel overall? I am looking for a good multifilament to string in my mains with a co-poly in the crosses.

Would be interesting to see the numbers on arm injuries on the tour. I bet most are babolat racquet users that use poly strings.

I've got Solinco Confidential 1.25 on my 1st gen Bab APD and it's feeling very nice.

Very informative videos(part 1 and 2)! How would you rate the power level in this string compared to medium/softer poly strings and/or compared to softer multis? Thanks!

Great review Jonas. I see that you compared it to Head Velocity. I find Head Velocity to be a decent multi. Here in the US Triax is about twice the cost of Velocity. Do you think the benefits of Triax justify the price diff?

The string feels lively n'touchy right from the start in 1.28 mm. However, I couldn't find any added spin potential compared to other multifilaments. I played it hybrid in my HEAD PT57A (16/19) on the mains and paired it with HEAD Hawk Touch. Tension was 21/20 kgs. Well, Triax snapped after an hour of play right in the middle from a clean hit. A bit of a disappointment as I don't break strings often. Won't buy it again. Instead, I'd opt for my trusty multifilaments X-One Bi-phase and Wilson NXT Power.

Nice video. How does it compare with HDX tour. I’m currently using HDX tour main and Alu rough in crosses. Looks like HDX is retired now . So need to find out a replacement before current stock runs out . Thanks in advance.

Hi all, i was sent one of the first batches to test. The 1.33 (so, in the middle of the guages). From a Stringing perspective it feels really good to string with. Feels more like a slightly stiffer multi than a softer poly. It’s been tested by a couple of coaches I string for. Both very accomplished and I trust their judgement fully! Feedback from a play perspective had been that power is very good on the 1.33 and spin is a lot better than they thought it would be. Durability wise, better than other multi strings they’ve used (I guess this is one of the reasons for having poly in it)! To use as part of a hybrid setup??? Not too sure really, other than to ever so slightly soften up a poly hybrid or to add more stiffness to multis, I’m not sure yet. Maybe it’ll work though. Anyway, great post. Your serve has a slight "hesitation" right before you drop the racquet head. If you eliminate that, your power will increase. Groundstrokes are gorgeous.

Any suggestion for a polyester string with this triax? I really look forward to this string, especially after your review , hope we can get it soon in hong kong!

JONAS! Huge question here: how was the playability after 8 hours? My biggest issue with Polys is once they notch they either get super dead or go trampoline. Spin and control goes down. Harshness goes up.

How would you compare this to Yonex Rexis Speed? They both appear to be trying to do the same thing, Multifilament with Polyester, only difference is that the Yonex uses a solid core of Polyester.

Would you say that this string is still good for players with arm issues? I know that it is 50% poly so it still must be a bit stiffer than your typical multi string. I could see maybe trying in a hybrid with a soft cross string. The second question is it worth the price?

I've tried the other TF hybrid string HDMX and frankly wasn't impressed by its playability and even less impressed by its price point.

Hey Jonas, have you ever tried Isospeed Cream? I believe that is the softest poly and I was wondering how Triax compares to Cream.

Have you tried Technifibre HDMX Floro (multifilament) and if so could you compare to Triax? I felt HDMX Floro has good comfort but had spin like a poly.

I’d like to know this too. I used the hdmx recently and thought it was a great string. Works awesome coming from x-one biomass user. But how does the triax compare.

I saw at 5:23 you hit a BH with 2 hands. Is this because it was deepto the baseline and these kind of shots are hard to take with a OH-BH or it was just for fun? asking because I also find deep long shots hard to take with my OH-BH

I am using my two-hander even more in the latest - easier to direct balls on the rise and on defense...

My problem with this is the expense. If it is durable and holds tension well than I would give it a try.

Tecnifibre make the best strings on the market and their frames are underrated.

Sounds liek a great string..but too $$$ for me...if it was $15...I would use it. Poly's are so much cheaper and durable for the $$....I ike a poly manins with multi crosses.

I guess the question is do you hybrid it with a multi or a poly? 😂 That's 4 more choices with mains v crosses 🤯

1.38mm gauge? Their thickest is 16g which is 1.33mm! No 1.38mm I guess
