    Thank you for thoroughly explaining a sealed system. It is one they I always wanted to get in but been hesitant to do so. Looking forward for part 2. 👍

    Good video, there should be checking compressor current draw in step 1 though

    fellow employee who is a refridge tech said on newer styles its always the compressor when an ice ball is formed on top of evap. he always whips out his watt meter to condemn compressor. he seldomly cleans dirty coils.

    Thank you for the great content Richard! I just started the video but I'm sure it's full of valuable info just like the rest of them! Are there plans for online courses (in depth) for sealed systems? If so when and what would be the ballpark for the cost? Really looking forward to something like that. Keep up the great content!!!

    I think the best way not to come back for redo, just replacind compressor, evaporator and heat exchanger, that's it. System gonna be brand new and no call backs.

    Appreciate it very detailed explanation, one question sir if most likely restriction is in filter what is recommended temperature difference in & out of the filter to separate the problem, thanks

  • @riz65

    Sorry for the delayed response, I did not see this question. The temperature and pressure in and out the filter should be the same, the filter is not there to create a pressure difference. Now if there is a temperature pressure difference in the filter that would indicate the restriction is in the filter.

    i have a frost buildung up at where my suction line meets my capillary tube near my evaporator. does this indicate a restriction?

  • @riz65

    @riz65

    Either a restriction or low in refrigerant, and sometimes an inefficient compressor, adding a little refrigerant to see if pressures normalize in the system will show it was low on Freon if refrigerant is added but frost is still evident at the capillary entrance then is a restriction in the capillary tube.
