My favorite tool when working on my audi is the diagnostic scanner
mine is my snap-on air hammer, such a versatile tool.
Watching these cause I consistently can’t get a job working on cars and am honestly thinking about giving up. Working on my own is my destiny I guess. Also impact driver?? The hell he on?
My favorite tool if I had to say would be ratchets cuz what any impact can’t remove a ratchet/breaker bar can.
Milwaukee beats the competition every time screw snap on
Air impact driver? That’s an impact wrench 🤣

Honest. I’ve got a vice-gripping crescent wrench. Best thing ever invented. All these other tools are nice, but my favorite tool does about half my jobs.
If I show you my favorite tool, can you promise you won't go to HR
"Just an air impact driver" *holds up a wrench*
Bro I love the vibe of this shop!!!
Power rachet and swivel sockets are every mechanics best friend
Lol that dudes extension😂😂
I would have pulled out the 4lbs hammer
The LIFT. Clearly.
"no joke, impact gun for oil drain plugs. Love how quickly I can CRANK your plug back in."
My coworkers are my favorite tools
I absolutely love the new high torque cordless Milwaukee ratchet
Imagine being an Audi tech. Bless their soul.
Did that first guy say his tool was a “life saver” or a “lite saber”???? 😂😂😂😂
first guy wearing dads hat from the 80’s 😭
I’ve Been Absolutely Abusing My Old Version DEWALT Battery Impact Driver Meant For Screws I Use it With a Socket Adapter and Just Beat On it on a Daily Basis It’s Been Over 10 Years Now & it’s Still Goes Perfectly!!!! 🤷♂️😂😂😂
All have big fancy EMPTY toolboxes
Talk about having superior job security, being an Audi mechanic.
I agree with the first guy
that last clip you don't use those for working on cars, those are for other applications
The smartest one is the guy with orange deadblow. Tap tap the bolt is loose. Wrench+deadblow wins 85% of the time against stuck fasteners.
My favorite tool is "the right one for the application".
I can't tell you how many times each day I reach for my pocket screwdriver. A close second would be my pocket Streamlight.

Yep, I carry a Leatherman and a pocket light at work every day, that and a Klein 13 in 1. Itll fix almost anything we work on.
Aaaye I see you Cory!!
Long neck battery rachets are amazing
Holy crap, other mechanics with long hair, I thought I was the only one 😆
Those ratchets are a godsend. Gets into tight spots with minimal effort. Gotta appreciate when your knuckles aren’t busted up.🙏🏼😂
Then again who knows how much they owe the snap on truck😂
The hammer guy is a real one Tourch and hammer
There you have it boys, this explains why your oil drain plugs are so tight. Impact driver is the only tool they use for tightening
Favourite tool??? The service manager
These guys obviously don’t work in the rust belt. If they did, “big air hammer” would be the answer every time.
all the speakers from 91CDs
I believe the guys who say 1/4’’ driver, cause the first step of any Audi maintenance is to remove the entire front end of the car.
Favorite tool for me be the press that crushes an Audi in a cube for scrapping.
1/4” impacts/ratchets. Are probably the most useful tool for any mechanic field. I’d pair that with a 6” wide mouth adjustable wrench. You can handle a lot of stuff with that combo. I’m in heavy machinery so we have a lot of nuts to deal with. More so than automotive.
I’m a vw lube tech I’d say my fav “tool” are wheel stud guides
I’m a real man. I use a 3/4 inch impact driver for tightening bumper screws
We have most of those tools in smaller makita brand on driver ratchet in Milwaukee ingersol in all the sizes but 1/4”
Our microwave is everyone favorite tool, and the hardest working tool in our shop
Favourite tool is my 1/4 inch bluepoint impact wrench and my snapon torque wrench
To the first technician GO BADGERS
😮😮😮 He’s got a light saber?
As a machinist it's hard choice between my impact driver or my duel sided mallet
The guy with the deadblow needs to be closely watched
I personally have the snap on brushless version, but I would have picked the same tool up as the first guy with the battery ratchet
I like a breaker bar
Show me your favorite tool... Dude says yeah, Andre down there at bay 3.
That's weird. No yellow? 😂
“Scan tool” Then they replace everything even if it wasn’t broken
He’s right
Interviewer - What's your favourite tool? Technician -reaches for a Jerry can and a box of matches
Notice not one said a 10mm socket…… Because they’re still looking for it & chose the next best thing..
Nice. I have the stubby m12 fuel 1/4 impact driver and the m12 fuel ratchet.
My long 3/8 flex head matco ratchet has to be my favorite the leverage/reach is everything I try and use it in every situation so I don't waste time breaking stuff free with a average sized ratchet plus adding a swivel with the flex head 😱
whats your favorite tool? bmw mechanics: this here is my engine hoist, used it every day since day 1
Pretty sure any VW/Audi/Porsche technicians favorite tool is the scan tool because without that and factory service manuals they couldn't fix a red flyer children's wagon.
Either Audi pays its technicians really well, or they supply the tools. Seen a whole Lotta Milwaukee and snap on in that shop

This looks like a Milwaukee commercial
Once you get your bill from the shop , you'll figure out where all that snap- on and Milwaukee stuff came from :)
I'd show my favorite too but it can't fit on screen
Not sure why the last guy is using a surge for mechanic work. It's for electricians for noise reduction purposes. The standard driver has soooo much more power .. ps for the ones Wondering. The tools he's holding is easily identified by the molded in cover. The tool is hydraulic
Wouldn't let any of these guys touch my car
