It would be nice if they sold that digital Rand McNally Motor Carrier Road Atlas separately that you could load on any tablet Android or Apple tablet.
Best review on youtube about this GPS I ever seen
I turned mine in and bought another one, this time I mounted it so it lays on the dash, with a cloth folded under it for a cushion, I only use the USB for power, and it has been a few months of no problems, Just an update to
I sure wish Garmin or someone would put out a solid GPS. We'd pay the dang money. Apparently these companies don't listen to their customers. There technology is 12 years old! Ridiculous.
What I find interesting is the atlas in the overdryve shows new roads yet the gps map doesn’t show those same roads. For example, I69 south of Indianapolis, Indiana.
I'm glad I'm seeing reviews about this Tablet cause I don't like throwing money away..looks like I'm going to buy garmin dezl 580
To keep your table full battery connect another USB cable direct to the tablet is going works pretty good no freeze not drain battery tablet is going works very well
You described my though and felling about this expense GPS
Could you plz explain how to update/ reset ?
Thanks driver 👍🏾
Good video bud
How did you change the main screen
My brother has had issues with his Pro 8, the mount sucks, the small weak plastic clips that hold it to the window mount break off from the truck vibration. He is on his second mount with it. Also same problems with the charger. Also as Cotter Pin says it is too bad that Rand Mcnally keeps the trucking atlas as proprietary and not let it be a download that could be put on a iPad!!
Thank Guys . I was about to hit purchase and now im not. Its too heavy so it shakes . Not worth it thank u again
My tablet tries to avoid tolls. How do I fix that?
Maybe if you mount on the windshield instead of dash the camera would be more steady?
The tabs on my mount I’ve already broken and 21 days of use it keep shutting off on me all day long it’s a lot of money for the way that it’s manufactured I think the vibration is so that I can absorb From falling off of the magnetic mount like the others have done such as the tablet eight I have a 30 day return policy on this at the TA truckstop’s with nine days left and I’m taking mine back tonight when I go past a TA truckstop not sure what I’m going to get
....I guess I’m going with garmin 785 this time!! I have the tnd80 and it’s a POS, it only lasted 2yrs and the damm thing doesn’t even start the software anymore, I was thinking no buying the overdrive pro 8 but it seems they haven’t fix the power issues with their tablet gps! I’ll put my money elsewhere this time, thanks man
Great review, I bought mine for 300 off of Facebook marketplace. My main problem with it is it takes priority over every other device I have hooked up to my phones bluetooth. I like to stream spotify from my phone to my truck stereo and it ends up coming through the shitty tablet speakers
Do all the rand McNally Gps units shake like that ? Was looking at Garmin 780 and 785 units
