1980. I’m 8 years old. Curt and Roland (as part of Graduate) sing “ever met a day”. 2022. I’m 50. Roland and Curt sing “my demons”. The world around us has changed so much. But the music of TFF hasn't. Hit after hit after hit. Never get tired of listening to them.

Nostalgia doesn't come close to describing what this song makes me feel. It's something much greater

One of the best songs I have EVER heard and the timing could not be more perfect. For perspective, 58 years young & TFF fan from the beginning.

Love how they have kept that 80s feel to their music with a modern twist. Just awesome !!!

Maybe it's the other way around. They were massive contributors to the sound we now associate with the 80s. They simply stayed true to themselves and produced it now and this is what we get!

i was not expecting too much from TFF but to their credit they have produced a masterpiece. This song is one of many absolute classics, can they/will they follow it up hope so. it deserves a Brit Award for Best Album

They said it was written with a Depeche Mode vibe. This is perfect and the best song on the album. Brilliant!!!

Standout track. Been listening to the entire album for 12 days straight and can't get enough. The bonus tracks are just as good. I say bravo to this amazing effort, my favorite album released in many years.

If you haven’t bought the new album, go get it. It’s absolutely unbelievable. So glad they started singing again. They are great!!!

I can honestly say this song is my absolute favorite,can't get it out of my head,just like I couldn't get Shout out of my head! I am so happy they are back together and they still write and sing great together!! I think this album could be right up there with Songs from the Big Chair or even surpass it!!

This album is nothing short of fantastic

Shades of Tomcats Screaming Outside on this one. It has the vibe and the beat of Bullets For The Brain and Hey Andy.

Should have put this out as a single.

THIS is what I expect a "modern day" TfF to sound like! Wish there was more stuff like this on the album. The only tracks besides this that I like a lot are The Tipping Point, Break the Man, and Stay.

Well I just witnessed them performing this song at their first concert of The Tipping Point tour. This song in particular was absolutely fantastic to see in person.

My favourite on the new album. Still very Tears for Fears but with hints of Simple Minds (Waterfront), Take That (Kids) and a bit Depeche Mode sounding. Had me hooked immediately

Yes and ironically tears for fears have referenced waterfront before with everybody wants to rule the world and it’s riff which Roland olazabel openly admits to copying

I see what you mean re the sound, Luciano, but lyrically TFF have so much more depth than DM.

Reminds me a bit of Roland’s “Tomcats” album which I finallly made myself listen to last night before the new TfF album came out, and it was as good as people have been saying. So yes this makes this a great song too

Wow. I heard this on radio 2 and thought Depeche Mode?! This is a fantastic track. Always liked Tears For Fears. Great music and lyrics.

That's exactly what I thought about bands especially over the last 20 years or so. Simple Minds being the exception. The only other artist that's recently left me gobsmacked is Onuka from Ukraine.

They're evolution Is extraordinary ,I thought we'd heard the best of tears but I think with they're voices and Roland's subliminal song writing and arrangements are as good even better than days gone..just love them more with every listen

I went to see tears for fears at Atlantic City for the first time . When they played this song the audience was in shock. To me it’s one of the best song . Tears for fears produced . The drums are simply seductive to my ears.

What a great track! These guys have re-invented their best moments! I love this album! Brilliant!

This entire album has me hooked again (TFT was a big college staple!). Love the sound of the album, and this song in particular. Can't wait to see them on their tour this summer.

You've described My Demons as a song that could have been written for Depeche Mode. Roland: We love Depeche Mode a lot and we were slightly jealous of them. Why? Curt: They were always going to be cooler than us. Roland: I remember, we'd already had some hits with our debut album, The Hurting in 1983 or 84, and I was watching Top of The Pops in the first house I'd bought in Bath, when Depeche Mode came on with Everything Counts. I just thought, 'What is the point in us making another record?' I was just devastated. I was depressed. I was in tears. A year later, we were number one in the states with Shout, and it just goes to show what you go through, artistically. But yeah, My Demons, is a bit of a hook back into that era. And we've been joking - I do a pretty good vocal but it was almost built for Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode.

This one is truly sublime. This one here takes some time to wrap one's true human brain around. NOT. THEY WILL ALWAYS FIND YOU WHEN YOUR CELL PHONE IS ON LOGIC IS UNDERRATED. This song is closest to the original sound they had. Don't get me wrong the other songs are really great too. This got a little bit of Cold, Elemental, Always in the past ----in it.
