Very nice. I like those lid struts and the winder tray. I've got the real holders fitted in my box where you mounted the winder tray, so the lid is more prone to closing due to the extra weight. I need to get struts ....👍

Hi mate, i did the dameltec conversion on my team seat box, yes the catches wont hold, i fitted toggle latches, stainless from ebay, cheaper from china but, they are available from Manchester £4.00, i fitted them in the front tray mounts, so out of the way, bonus, they can be fitted with padlocks. PS the cam locks are only for the Beta box

Really sorry I missed this comment. Didn't notice at all, with the back rest it distributes weight perfectly

Awesome sett up i got the gas struts on my box for that reason alone haven't got he full kit as of yet

Have a look at my seat box vid mate, I superglued the plastic sheaf to the lid to pop my knife in and out of

It is mate, but think of all the fishy's that'll be waiting when this is over😁😁 figures the weather turns superb just as we are ask to stay in though

Did a good job on your box there mate ( the dogs b...locks) I hot glued a short piece of PVC tubing in the corner for my knife, to keep it in place . Maybe a small hasp and staple to keep the lid closed .Take care.

It's probably changed since I got them mate.

Why don’t you warm those catches up with a hot air gun don’t melt them just warm them up and apply pressure to bend them out slightly a mm or two. So catches will do the job alone it worked for me on a old box. If they break which they won’t then looks like a new Shakespeare is on the cards, all the best.

Anglingaddict 75 you need a paint stripper gun that blows hot air or a floor layers heat gun if you know any floor layers maybe a carpet fitter

Cool mods but it means you can't stow side trays. The side trays are what I like best about these boxes, so I might adopt some of these ideas for the side trays only. Great video though.

Thank you! I tend to use an external bait station instead of the side trays but have realised that side trays may be a better option, less to carry.

@@Anglingaddict75 I agree. I tend to leave all the gear I need to-hand in the trays and just leave them stowed on top, ready to use. All I carry in the bottom of the box are my reels, rig & weight box, folding bucket and my bait box (a small Coleman cool box). I have the breakaway backrest with extra long straps but seriously thinking about a trolley too. I've tried many different carrying setups for the beach but always return to the seat box as being most efficient, although not perfect.

is that a Diawa box or Shakespeare

The stuff that I fitted my box with is designed for the bigger boxes. You best bet would be to get ahold of damiltech and ask... Their customer service is top notch. I don't see why it wouldn't though, you might just need a latch to help it stay closed👍

Great organisation mate, but video at that speed gave me a headache....
