This is the only guy that makes sense. all the gimmick, bling and chassis changing is a waste of money. Fine tune what you have and save the money !

Not all of it. Some guys are running under 1.5 seconds. He's helpful for sure, and I feel great about my 70mph 2s dr10

Man that’s great. They are about to be better as we have a lot of gear coming so we can test and compare some of the top stuff being used.

Also another great tool with the GNSS is if you go to share it you can select excel spreadsheet and match the times between the Maclan drk and acceleration points etc

The proper time-stamps: 13:25 front end 14:00 shocks 15:24 wheels 17:05 motor mount 17:18 wheelie bar 18:30 gearing 18:39 diff 19:05 slipper 19:55 tire prep 20:40 battery placement 21:50 sway bar 22:05 other stuff 23:04 tune Always write your time-stamps properly.

Different ideas, I get 75mph easy from the stock motor and esc combo the rtr dr10 comes with. Hand built heatsink with twin alloy bearing rocket 30x30 fan's - 1 punching cool air onto the motor and 1 reverse prioritized pulling out hot air from the motor for easy back to back runs. Silicone tube on shocks and set up as low as it gets with a hand made front splitter and a hand made rear diffuser for loads of downforce, hand made rear sway bar set, hand made side pods, hand made side aero chassis set.$40 spent on a few parts couple of pinion gears, steel spur gear and that's all. Nice video

@@Danny.fb6 I know he isn't, but I can tell him how. That system won't do it on 2s in 132, but it can be done. That motor works for bashing, but drag ain't it.

I’m sure most of my advice for the dr10 will carry over. Just keep it stick and simple and tear the rtr down and build it back up right so you know what’s going on inside. Like the fluid weights for example.

The maclan motor has the sensor wire in the box. Manufactures do things mostly the same so any sensor motor should have one but check their info to seen They are universal so any will fit.

Ummagrip. It’s made for fpv quads by a company. It may be on Amazon. There’s the light which is what I use that’s blue and a thicker black version.

Man I been messing with RC cars for a long time, mostly bashers, a couple race cars and a speed run Vendetta. I'm new to drag racing and when you started talking about turning up degrees, bell timing, phases,etc on the motors, I had no clue what you were talking about. I feel like I'm in way over my head. I just want a 3 second or less DR10 and I'll be happy. What can I get to achieve that without having to get motor analyzers and all that technical mumbo jumbo.

Did you really just say it's just the ESC... the suspension and gearing and combination. Its not as important I was always taught it's a complete combination at 10.10 and ditch the slipper.. great Channel

You can go down all those rabbit holes or keep it simple. I’m getting great results with that theory right now. Down the road I’m sure I’ll need to make changes. But for all the new people getting into no prep I feel it’s best to not overwhelm them and show them a simple setup without a bunch of hyped out bling can make them have a way better experience then I did when I started out. The maclan launch control is the ultimate cheat mode to make your car tame and go straight for sure.

The split 6 are vented. Tires are not. No foams

I ran a converted slash last year. It was ok. Hard to compare since the esc and firmware is so much better. But I’ve heard it the same thing. Lcg slash with bandit arms. That’s a literal drag if it’s true :(
