Hey, thank you for the info! What Drama Teachers/ are generally expected to do at schools in UAE? Are they required to direct big-scale plays? Or mostly theatre games, improv etc?

Hi Natasha Drama is not a mandate subject taught here therefore you will find vacancies only in high profile/premium schools. Generally there are productions that Drama teachers do once in a year.

Hi Ajesh Many thanks for your kind words. Salary mentioned in the video is in INR and is monthly. The average salary here in UAE ranges from 6000 Aed to 14000 Aed per month.

Hi Pavitra, the whole walk in scene has changed after Covid so everything is happening online. You should be able to view the status of your application.

I have a question. I am planning to enroll in education for a bachelor degree but I'm not sure if I am going to continue my teaching in the future so can I take business for a bachelor and still teach in gulf countries and get a good payment? also, I do have a TEFL certificate

Hello! It is a requirement to have your degree in the subject you will be teaching by most of the schools especially those who will pay you good. TEFL is also required if you are teaching English, which will be a benefit in your case. However, in Dubai, I have seen cases where teachers are teaching a subject without them having their degree in the specialised subject which I foresee is going to be diminished on the horizon.

Hi Neha, not that we know of. You must have the minimum two years of teaching experience or as mentioned on the JD.

Hi Roly I think you are good to go. Look at the requirements section of the vacancy and give IELTS only if it demands for it. Qualifications and experience are just right for you to get the job. All the very best!

It was possible previosuly but now it is quite difficult. I have seen people getting hired by mentioning that they are in the second year of B.ed and pursuing it.

Could you please throw some more light on how to get a teaching license. I am looking at moving to UAE by 2022. But is it possible to get the license this year only or I need to be employed by a school first. Secondly is the teaching license rule going to be applicable for Dubai only or other parts of UAE as well? And last but most important please accept my sincere gratitude for making such amazing informative videos. Thanks a ton. God bless

Hi Tanushree As of now you should be employed in a UAE school to gain the license but it is still not instructed by the government that how the recruitment going to look like post 2022. It could also be that you gain a provisional license for UAE from your country and then apply for jobs or gain full competent status license to apply for a job. We will make a thorough video on this once more information gets released by the Ministry of education. It is required by all the Emirates. Hope this helps.

Hi Adeel, we are from India and we did our teaching qualifications after coming to Dubai while being on our jobs. The teaching qualification in our field wasn’t a requirement when we moved here 7-8 years back.
