glad to see your progress. Congratulations for your new space. you guys are lucky I would say, because I am trying for teaching jobs since 2 months. Applying every single day for every vacancy, but didn't get a single call back. Very demotivating that schools in Abu Dhabi asking for only native English speakers in requirements or else they need local reference. What if we don't know anyone here in the same field.

Thank you for putting in the effort for these videos. These are super helpful to a lot of people out there. I have a question for Sahil in particular. I am currently in the final year of my B.ed and I also happen to be really passionate about music. I've been playing the guitar since the last 7 years and was thinking about appearing for Trinity school of music exams as a guitarist. Is Trinity a good recognized choice if I wanna become a Music teacher in UAE or would you like to give some other suggestions. Also, do you think it worth pursuing career as a music teacher or should I simply continue my B.ed and try for a normal subject teacher?

Dear Allan It depends on your preferences like I personally feel confident and enjoy teaching Music and also that I am not good in any other subject neither I have any interest. Trinity is a good option but now you need to have a bachelor degree in your subject so from I would say since there is no formal degree in western music, you can opt for a bachelors in performing arts and top that up with Trinity certificates. And you have B.Ed so that makes you a fulfilling candidate for any school. Please note there may be are few schools who hires teachers with normal bachelors in arts and do recognize grade 8 and ltcl certificates.

Dear Angela Yes, this accommodation has been given by an international school. You may request the school but it depends on the policy of the school. Like I asked my school for specific things that I need to be kept in my apartment. Some schools gives you a good relocation allowance for you to shop initially.

Hi Kazi, the best is to get the work experience or go for some IB courses from IBO website if it’s IB in particular that you are looking for. You may also the TQUK Level 5 teaching qualification.

This accommodation is paid for instance some amount is deducted from your salary or it’s totally free from school.

Mostly it is given by the school totally however, many school gives you allowance as well. Please note that these perks are not always same as it depends on school to school.

Hi Archana, IELTS is only required if asked by your school. You can apply and read the job description and requirements when you apply. For English teachers it’s mandatory though.
