I have a rescued Spanish galgo who was used for hunting rabbits. Watching this with great interest and hope (and no small amount of desperation).

Not a chance she will listen at this point. Thank you Jamie.

I have a lab x golden retriever. She is so clever, but this is exactly her! Doesn’t listen to a word I saw when she’s caught a scent! I’m excited to watch this series and see how to get her to listen! 😂

WoooHooo. I'm so looking forward to this. Thanks in advance for doing this training and sharing it! We have a little terrier mix who has a very high prey drive. We've come a good ways, but I'm betting what you share will be helpful. New subscriber.

It's true...My Whippet when hunting {We go to a place where she is allowed to do this} does not give a shiny shite about the best liver treats, the motivation and reward to hunt for vermin, and get that ''Mouth feel'' of prey is so powerful. {She is very well mannered and polite at other times, and listens..but when actively hunting, treats have no value.

That could be my terrier! In fact that IS my terrier. She does not give a shit about me, the pressure on her neck, or the train that might be headed towards her at 80 miles and hour !! One squished dog !!

Hi Jamie, looking forward to following this. My hyper prey drive pointer is easy to control upto a point but once she scents a rabbit for instance, forgets playing retrieve, wont recall to whistle any more and will only return with huge bellowing voice. She was trained to whisper quiet commands. Had considered a eCollar (have an Educator) but have stopped as she is anxious generally. Love your work.

Haha this is all so familiar. I have a year and half old Podenco. Very intelligent, very stubborn and a serious prey drive. Have him trained well enough that most times he listen but only because he feels like it to be honest. When I really need it my recall does not work. He will not come. Very frustrating to say the least but it's not the dog's fault of course. I need to train him better. Offline leash session are off the cards again for now. Very curious to see what you have in store.

We've got a Podenco who will not even notice you once she has caught a scent. She never gets off the lead anymore.

A wee munch on some sheep poo at the end, yummy. Glas to see it isn't just our 2. Although I prefer that to when the dive bomb into it. Great set of videos by the way!
