If you’ve done any kind of research for a 4K TV, especially for a budget 4K TV, there is no doubt you’ve come across the TCL Roku TV.
The most eye-catching thing about the TCL Roku TV is the price point. They are considerably more affordable than the 4k competition. This video outlines the 75" TCL Roku 4-Series and if it's really worth the money.

Totally agree with you. I own the 2019 4K 5 series 43” TV. And the 2020 mini QLED 55”. I’ve returned an LG, TWO Hisense TV’s, and a Vizio before I came to the realization that TCL has the cleanest and most crisp picture quality HANDS DOWN. What people don’t understand is Flagship name brands already made a name for themselves, so they’ll sell regardless. So they need to put in the effort into their mid level TVs. TCL on the other hand is newer and making a name for themselves.
This is the best video of the exact product I’ve purchase everyone want to focus on higher brand and series but nothing about the budget ones

I have had a TCL roku TV 32 inch HD tv for a couple of years and now just bought a 50 inch TCL Roku 4K tv and I have been very happy with both tvs very impressed with the 4K picture. To me TCL tv's are worth buying never had an issue using these tv's

Love My 43 in. TCL 4K TV. Bought Mine Exclusively for my PS4 Pro!. Payed 300$. Every Game is Better in 4K. Gamer Life Bro. Stay Safe. ☮️
I put the TV (in setup and in all modes) on “Brighter” and color temperature “cool” and mode “sports,” make the backlight, and this seems to yield the brightest picture with the most saturated colors especially in HDR mode. Make sure you enable ARC on the audio if you have a sound bar so you can control the sound bar with the remote. Also label the inputs for your game consoles so you can make sure you enable “game” mode for the lowest input lag. Make sure game designated hdmi ports are set to hdmi 2.1 for best HDR experience as they’ll default to auto sometimes. If you enable hdmi CEC so your Xbox with Alexa can auto turn on the TV when voice activated. This does require the low power mode to be disabled for quick start up. You can do Airplay now, it’s a setting you have to enable. Also, the USB port is good for a 32 GB USB stick and you can pause TV for 90 minutes. You can also turn off the light at the bottom of it bothers you. The 65 inch is frequently around $300 Blackfriday. The android version was $229 Black Friday 2020. 75 inch can also be found on sale for $500. If you are a cinema buff then get the 6 series for better contrast, brightness, and local dimming. If all you do is stream and game occasionally, the 4 series is great for low light rooms.
I totally agree with you. I love my TCL Roku TV which I bought about 2 years ago, refurbished from eBay! It's a 55" 4K TCL Roku TV. I am a tech guy and an Android user and Roku is my favorite TV system. About the remote. You can find one of those more advanced ones that are compatible with lower end Roku TVs. Also if you use Roku TV app on your phone or tablet it has a remote so you can control it from your phone which also has a keyboard that makes typing and searching much easier and more convenient.

Great vid! I just bought the TCL 43S425 43 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart Roku LED TV (2018) from Amazon for $229. I could not be happier, honestly. I use it as a computer monitor for video editing and vector drawling. The text is crisp, very crisp, the colors are not for professionals but fine for commercial work. I have never been so satisfied at an amazing price. Don't look around anymore, get it! Sure it is a 2018 model, but if you didn't know that, you would still be impressed. It's you hard earned money, don't blow it.
I still have the TCL R617 55” (2018 model) that I paid $600 for during Black Friday. The TV is still AMAZING, still impressive for a 4k LED with local dimming. Picture quality is also still great, beautiful color (once calibrated) and very BRIGHT unlike OLED’s. The Roku software updates regularly and will keep the TV future proof for some time. Overall I’m really impressed with TCL, when I upgrade I’ll definitely go back to TCL, literally the best $600 I ever spent.
I was sceptical of my first tcl, but ended up loving it. Just bought my second one today 3 years later for my kids room and the original still running strong. Highly recommend.

Just purchased a 65" TCL ROKU TV 4K HD 8-series 65Q825 from Best Buy Memorial Day weekenk sale for $999.00. The Android ROKU App private listening feature sometimes has skips in sound and sometimes doesn't link up to remote without reconnecting wireless through settings. Any solutions?
I love my 3 TCL TV’s. Never had an issue and would gladly buy another!
I actually went to buy an LG and my TCL was on display right next to it. The picture was just as good or better in some ways. I've had my 48" for over 4 years now and still love it.
That is an awesome wall mount. Pulling it out also makes it easy to get to your connections. I clicked on your amazon link and it is 129.99 dollars. The price must have increased. If it wasn't so dang expensive I would order one. You can get the ones that tilt on Amazon using a coupon for just over 20 dollars. I do feel these hold the tv more safely because the further away from the wall the tv is the more leverage pulling on the bolts holding it to the wall.
One thing to note about Roku remotes. You can buy the upgraded remotes by themselves and they will be compatible with even the lower end roku devices. I would assume that the same would be true for the roku tvs. The highest end roku remote is $29.99. There is no need to buy a roku ultra if you just want the remote.
I'll be getting my first 4K TV as well (actually my own personal bedroom HDTV) I once bought an HD monitor that did 1080I, but it crapped out on me where a whole row went out on the display. Hopefully, they will make a 4K 120Hz TV around the 40"-50" range so it can fit inside my closet which faces my bed. If I can get one along with one of the Next Gen consoles, I will be happy.

Got a TCL 55r615 (6 series) open box from Best Buy a couple years ago. Same as the 55r617 you can buy from most other retailers except it comes with the older remote without a headphone jack or voice control so it costs a bit less. Open box made it even cheaper. Hasn’t been force updated to the point of sluggishness yet, looks awesome & the Roku system is simple and great. I specifically bought it to pair with a PC; with the right settings input lag is lower than most other sub $2000 TVs (researched this for months). It’s obviously not a gaming monitor but it stands up pretty well for its overall versatility. If you’re gaming (or doing anything else for that matter) this is the one for under $1000. Couple cons: - first, is it’s local dimming, where on a black screen white logos like on its screen saver have the halo effect. If it’s a problem, don’t buy an LCD tv, this one is not particularly worse than most others. Blacks just can’t get black enough on LCDs. Opposite goes for its edges. Sometimes on white screens like when using it with a PC screen, the corners can get a little darker. Also insignificant and never a problem, I rarely even notice it unless I’m looking for it. - Second, speakers. Most modern flatscreen TVs come with terrible speakers. Thin tv, thin speakers. These are I believe downward/backward facing, so they shoot right into whatever it’s standing on. Get a cheap sound bar or pair of PC speakers. Less for quality and more for direction. It helps a lot when the speakers are actually facing you. Went from an older Vizio with a big frontward facing speaker grill and while this is overall better, the Vizio sounded a whole lot better. You also won’t have to crank it to hear it. - Third, there’s ads on the main screen. Just a solid image with no audio on the far right side, but you’re never on the home screen long enough for it to be intrusive. Pick an app or input and it’s gone. Mildly annoying, but easy to ignore. Helps keep them good and affordable. If you can get one of these open box from Best Buy they are less than $600 (two years ago) and I cannot recommend it enough. I shopped for months before settling on this and don’t regret the purchase even a little bit.
I've got 1 49 in. and 2 32in. and I love them. The price is great. We'll see how long they last. But, no issues as of yet.

You hit on an important point, many overlook... The ability to change "Source" on screen, with little effort. (I bought both, see Amazon reviews for proof) Long story, short... Im not fumbling around, looking for the Source button, I can do it all on screen.

Great review Chief thanks Brandon.
I have had two consecutive Samsun 75" 8k televisions delivered with banding/dirty screen. I see from my internet searches that pretty much all the manufacturers are having this issue on their OLED, QLED, and LED units. Does TCL have these problems whether I buy a 4, 6, or 8 series 75" 4k?
This was really a great video, all the content was laid out I actually have the 55 inch TCL TV so I am doing a lot of research on this but in general I already have Application such as Hulu, Netflix Prime video, KZread, Tubi Disney+ Funimation and Crunchyroll both for Anime’s so one question I do have is all I would need to do is login to the above applications I mentioned on my TCL television correct? Thank you in advance!
Thanks for the detailed review!
I agree 3 HDMI is fine, I just plug in a $20 5-port switch and I'm good to go.
Roku remotes are different than TCL TV remotes and so if you want voice command with your TCL TV you'll need to get the remote (5-series 2021, 6-series 2021) through TCL. If you wait for a sale you can get a Roku Streaming Stick for as little as $32 (the price we paid on black friday 2020 - normally $47). It does 4K and voice command it's an RF remote (because the stick is on the back of the TV) so even better - no pointing is needed!!! The roku ultra and premiere+ remotes are heavier only because the Bluetooth uses AA batteries for longer life, and regular remotes use AAA batteries which weigh about half as much! If you don't have a TCL TV you might consider a streaming stick!!
Goody! I'm getting one from black friday. My sound goes through a diff system, never the monitor.
I agree that it's not worth spending $2000 on a 4K TV. From our TCL 4-series 43S405 we upgraded to an $1100 Vizio Quantum X 65" + Roku Streaming Stick (necessary as the Vizio OS kinda sucks and goes on the fritz often). BEAUTIFUL TV !!!

It didn't have the most vibrant colors but still nice. Above average. But.... But. Of course there's a "but". lol. I would have spend an extra $150-$200 for a higher end TV. Samsung, LG.... Still a Nice TV but i want top end 4k. No pink or dull colors. No blur. Good speakers, cause in the end.. if u do get a TCL, your gonna need a soundbar. The sound is weak. Not much bass. It's all about preference. I like to think your buying a TV for the next 3-5 years, miswell make it one your gonna love.

First I’m looking around a 65 inch screen and that can handle gaming, videos, streaming, and everting in between. My tv choices 1. Tcl 8 series, Tcl 6 series 2020 edition,, hisense H9G or wait for the hisense XD9G. So which would be my best option Thank you for time and my apologies for rambling.
Do all 4-series TCL Roku TVs have black-outlined text on the screen? I’m referring to the text used in the video display except for incorporated jpgs and such, separately from accessibility controls for the captions. I’ve seen a 65S433 doing so in a store, while the other major brands were not displaying outlined text on the same video display. The text was much more distinct on the TCL. A call to TCL support was of no help. Thanks for sharing anything you may know!
Just ordered the 75" from Best Buy. Replacing my dead Sharp. Looking forward to it. 6 or 7 months later, any regrets? Issues that surprised you?

I have the series 4 TCL 43" 4K TV. My problem is that I haven't found a way to direct access a TV channel. I need to scroll up or down through the entire series of channels or through the entire list of "favorite channels." Is there a workaround for this egregious shortcoming?
What tv would you recommend for someone who just watches movies and general programs, no gaming at all. In the $1200 range and between 65”-75”? Thanks, I just found your KZread channel and hope that you actually answer questions.
i just go a tcl 4k 55in for 250 and i love it
I'm wondering,, can I go out and buy a roku remote for the TCL 56 inch TV? What kind do I buy, are the universal remotes?
Excellent review
What do you think about the TCL Roku 4 Series 43 Inches... I'm planning on buying this upcoming week from best buy. Is it a good tv, should I buy it, suggestions??
I have never said this even for big KZread players like MKBHD and Unbox Therapy but boy what a review! This is how you do it.

Wow thank you! Means a lot 🤗
You can add a remote to the TV so you can pair any Roku remote
How this Roku OS vs a normal tv with Amazon Fire Stick? As we typically just use the fire stick as our tv options in general
3:00 can that remote work with the 4 series? I just got that 55 TCL from walmart for 148
My cousin got the samsung and it broke in 6 months ....I've had my 65 roku for 3 years....and it's still running and beautiful....great for gaming

@@superkoba8188 any good recommendations for a cheap 40"? You seem educated. My tcl 40" just went black on me. I have audio and backlights work but nothing but a black screen. Any repair suggestions or should I buy a new tv?
It looks like colors are a little washed out ? Or are just your particular settings ?
Also: do not go with the refresh rate that is stated. The pannel is only running at 60 hertz. They are using software to upscale. So you will noticing flickering and will impact gaming. If you can avoid a sound bar do it!. Figure out your budget and get your self some actual speakers, especially is you are hard of hearing. Soundbars will be a waist of money. And usually are anyway. lol
As soon as it goes on a little sale,I'm getting it.65 inch.4 series.$460.everywhere,so wait a only a week...hopefully.lol
