Q7, it handles motion better and is brighter. U8H has a wider color range.

What firmware is the Samsung on?

TCL Q7 is a weirdo TV... Crazy good contrast but in some ways even behind old 5 series ( had better color gamut,processing ) ... When I went to see it at BB lest week... I only saw demo but in summery I'd say. Great contrast up there with flag ship LCD TV that cost x2 the price but just weak HDR punch... and it's not all the weak color gamut either... The TCL 6 series had same meh color gamut but it had that HDR punch... That's because it had mini-led so could go brighter... Which in turn raised it's color volume.... While this Q7 has around the same color volume as an old 5 series even though it's brighter... Such a weirdo TV....

How would you compare this TCL to the hisense H8K?

Its crazy that the TCL in the life movie scenes looks better, more reallife like to the eye. Almost if you are there what would a person truly look like. I think the TCL is better although most wont admit in. The ultra realistic.

What think about A5580K at 750.00 price point?

I have the s95c. I notice that there is more of a bluish hue than the s95b. If I join and get your settings, will this help?

Yes but imo I don’t think QM8 is worth the price atm. If you’re thinking about getting a QM8 you’re better off saving a little bit more and getting a OLED TV

So simce i missed getting the s95b 65".. can i still use these settings on the s90c when it goes down a little more in price.

S95B hands down

I love my C2, but I bought a 65inch Q7 recently for my living room and the deep blacks surprised me and its definitely not too far off from oled level contrast. For $700 you cant go wrong with the price to performance you get with the Q7

Talk about value - I got my 65” Q7 at Best Buy for $514 (open box, got it even before it was set up as a demo so basically new) before there were any reviews available. Was a little hesitant about not even being able to see a demo before buying but no regrets now 😀. Although I can appreciate the vibrancy of high-end TV’s, the Q7 is huge value for the money.

Definitely great price to performance and you cant get that level of performance at that price with bigger brand tvs! The Q7 is great!

Hard to pass up the additional size you can afford with the Q7. No matter the quality, in a larger room, a 75in TV is my preference vs. a higher quality 65in s95B and with the Q7 that saves you $600 . The 85inch Q7 is the same price as the 65in s95B, and that gives you almost a projector sized image. In a small room, if you're going to be seated very close, it's s95b all the way, and I think I'd prefer it for gaming (which I rarely do).

Its definitely hanging in there but, My settings take it to this level. By default its rather useless.

Making me so happy again that I picked up the s95b last year. Truly amazing tv! It’s a real experience every time I watch a new movie or play a game. You have to see it to believe it.

If you want to get absolutely shocked by the performance of S95B, get it color calibrated with calman. Just watched a movie yesterday and I felt like I was in an IMAX movie theater

Q have heard some of the reviewers let Sony X90L off the hook for poor black levels by saying oh, but it allows it to have better shadow detail. My Hisense U8H would crush the 90 series on black levels and shadow details. Those reviewers are basically Sony mouthpieces.

Great comparison Q! I could get a s95b but did not want to invest that much in a tv right now. I bought a 65” q7 for $599 and think it is fantastic. Exactly like you said it looks so realistic and cinematic. I do sometimes wish I could push the saturation to get that punchy look but that does not look as good on this tv. The color and skin tones are perfect the way I have it set. Contrast and blacks look great with that 3d look we all want. I am enjoying watching movies and appreciating the performance of this so called budget TCL qled.

Bottom looks better to me.

The Q7 against the Sony X90L would be a good comparison. I think black levels and contrast would be far superior on the TCL Q7.
