Marielle I would say closely look at the footwork of dancers and try to make it your own but a tool that helped me when I was starting was pow wow sweat. They give u a couple of dance routines I guess u could say and u could try dancing along with a couple of them. Good luck!

I’m a year late but as a fancy shawl dancer no we usually don’t because we stay a certain distance from each other and watch our surroundings.

En el flamenco también bailamos con ponchos., creía que éramos las únicas que bailábamos con ellos hasta que vi los powwow. Es precioso el baile. A nosotros nos llegan de Méjico: los militares y comerciantes españoles se casaron todos con mujeres indias y estas le pusieron flecos a las sedas importadas de china, e hicieron la selección de las flores y de su disposición en el mantón. Felicidades.
