I can’t tell which thumbnail I like better, this one or the soldering tips. Once you started being in the video they have gotten more fun. Your videos have always had easy to understand information and now with personality, that makes them all the better.

Great video! I was wondering if you could help me understand my tbs nano. I want to swap out my current vtx “betafpv m02” for the nano pro32 but the wiring is labeled different so I’m kind of confused, also my camera is powered from vtx nano doesn’t look like it has the same setup? So how do I lower my fpv feed?

Soon enough everything will be on one board. There making fpv gear smaller and better. I love it. Got to get me one.

FlightClub very nice. I know the size definitely will come in handy for really tight builds. Heck when ever my vtx on my hawk 5 goes out I’m swapping it over. My 2 Torque Pro 5’s have the unify race in them and I now want to change both.

The TBS Unify Race is a terrible VTX, i never had clean video signal with it. I also managed to have maybe 3 burning in midair while flying and when checking them it's always the same component which burned out lol I might have to grab one or two Nano32 when i have time, looking pretty damn good :) Great video as always! What antenna are you using on your crsf module?

I just bought the TBS 32 pro nano for my betafpv 1s meteor75. - Do you think i can put it to 400mW or will it burn the voltage regulator on the f4 1-2s board ? Is 400mW too much for runnig on 1s ?

Really helpful review. Have you ever tried higher power like 400mw? Doesn't it get easily too hot and cause MCU temperature problem, especially when it's attached directly onto the FC board?

Check out the WhiteNoiseFPV Unify Nano-Nano mounting board. You can put it at the top of your 20x20 stack so it's not laying on top of anything and has an air gap under and above it. It's a super nice solution. People run 400mW no problem btw.

That's great. I was wondering if it was a full size Aikon. My TBS Race on this set up had similar noise and when I replaced it with an older Aikon the noise went away. Good to see the 20x20 set up is super clean. Will have to do the same on my next build.

Is that why so many only get 250mW? they didnt unlock it? i dont know if I unlocked mine. its on a whoop so i never leave 25mW.. but might put this on Long Range Micro.. Pro32 Nano or Tramp Nano

yes, the newer versions of betaflight works with it. you just have to unlock the vtx for smartaudio to work

Have you been to Canada?

Its odd, because they both have noise in the video image - the nano has smaller, constant noise and the HV has wider, more flickery noise. Its like two different noise patterns - but the nano is a more flyable noise overall.

SmartAudio should work with the Betaflight OSD IF you add an external 10k ohm resistor between the SmartAudio/UART TX line and ground. SmartAudio 2.1 operates at 3.3V instead of the 5V coming from the flight controller UART. The 10k ohm resistor pulls down the voltage enough for the unify nano to work properly. There are other ways of getting it to work with special hex file versions of betaflight, but adding the resistor is easier in my opinion. Unify VTXs are pretty much all I run because they have great features at reasonable prices. They are the gold standard at race events for a reason. Great video Mike! Keep it up.

So irritating,. smart audio does not work on nano32 either? I have x4 tbs nano and smart audio works 1/2 the time on lua and betaflight osd. I believe tbs made it to only work with crsf. Yes i have tried using 10k ohm res and have not managed to get it to work. The button was easy to solder on for me at least so I can change channels. My video still looks great

Wow! So small!

I have the same goggle with the rapidfire and my video feed is over saturated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Low power output says no just FYI.

i find it much easier to wire it up ground, power, video right on the fc cause the pads are all together right there.

this fix is for "SA lite" with incompatible betaflight FC hardware (it's not really a software issue). the SA 2.1 incompatibility is simply because the protocol is too new. Betaflight now supports it, though.

per the TBS manual... "With the UNIFY PRO32 line we have launched SmartAudio V2.1. Over the regular SmartAudio, it changed control for PitMode in operation to a switch(on / off) rather than a flag that is refreshed on reboot."

@@FlightClubFPV Switch controlled pit mode awesome. I have one of these on order and one of my issues has been my VTX overheating when my GPS is taking too long to find 6 satellites. I actually lost my last quad (Hawk 5 + GP Session5) after I took off with a hot flickering black VTX thinking it would cool down with the air rushing over it which it seemed to do initially with the flickering subsiding but then after a minute everything went black over an area of dense woodland. Searched for months and never found it.

How do you use smart audio 2.1? Through beta flight?

Great review! Thanks! 😁👍 I know they're trying to make it as light as possible, but the .ufl antenna connector makes it undesirable for me! Those damn things are the worst connector ever developed for FPV! Its lifespan is so damn short before it doesn't work anymore! Plus, getting an antenna to stay on is nearly impossible... Even when using glue! I hate them! Oscar's backpack VTX is better because it has an MMCX. Sure it's slightly heavier, but I'd rather have a little more weight if the antenna will stay on, and last more than a few times of taking it on and off! The .ufl is pathetic! 😒 I can't believe they developed something that works so poorly!

Pretty much battery level is it, have RSSI set up on a few quads, but both battery n RSSI use voice feature via Lua Script. It's not the Devs fault at BF? Well no shit Sherlock, it's no ones fault because ITS NOT AN ISSUE, if you don't like they released it before the 2.1 update than don"t buy it! Jesus H. Christ, every time there's gotta be one. ,
