TBLeague Anubis 1/12 Figure: Desert Vacation Review!
And we're back! Weekly Allowance took a much-needed break and escaped into the Western wilderness for a while (alliteration!), but we are devoted to the art of action figures and didn't take a break from filming.
In this video, we take a look at the #TBLeague #GuardianoftheUnderworld #Anubis action figure. Spoiler Alert: he is beautiful. And also, THICC. Now I NEED a 1/12 Ra to go along with him. Can we get a Bastet up in here too? Talk about a dream team!

I have one of these coming in the next week or 2. They have Horus and Ra in 1/6 I hope we see them in 1/12. So about these sea monster facts? Example? 😂

REALLY?! Nobody ever asks me for sea monster facts! Okay, so one of my favorites is that in medieval times, people believed there was a sea animal for every corresponding land or air animal. This led to the belief in a lot of really strange creatures, like the "Owl-Whale" or Ziphius. Basically a whale with an owl face, but also evil. It was said to slice apart ships with its sharp dorsal fin. Today we think the Ziphius was a misidentified Orca, and the name Ziphiidae has been given to the beaked whale family! Beaked Whale = Owl Whale!

Great review! I just bought this guy so I will get him in soon. How is the body holding up? That material concerns me for longevity.

I can't speak for others, but the body on ours is holding up great! Especially impressive since he's been all over the desert with us! Now he moves from room to room, but the skin still feels sturdy and clean (as opposed to the tackiness some materials seem to develop)
Hi. Thanks for the review. Is the belt plastic or leather?
@weekly_allowance

Hi! The belt is made of several different types of material. The actual belt part is made of plastic, but there are also metal bits, cloth bits and some kind of suede material for the tunic-like part.

@@weekly_allowance Thanks. Mine is on my pile of loot, waiting for a few more figures to arrive. It seems like an amazing figure. I always worry about leather materials, good to know there aren´t any. I hope they release the other 1/6 released Egyptian Gods on this scale.

#WhyHeSoThiccTho Sea Monsters for the win. Egyptian Gods get snubbed too often. It's always Greek/Roman or Norse gods... occasionally some fae folk talk from the Celtic side of things, but rarely get to explore much with the Egyptians or even Indian gods...

Yeah I'm pretty tired of seeing Greek/Roman stuff, and even a lot of Norse stuff because it's always the same gods over and over again. Plus I'm a sucker for animal-people: not furries (which are fine, just not my thing) but genuinely realistic half-animal abominations.
Most of the other gods and goddesses were disappointing and don't look great. Bastet, Horus, Ra, Montu (this one gender swapped) don't look good
