How come there were naval soldiers along side Romans? Is time out of sync in the pyramid? That's the only thing I don't get but otherwise really well done

From what I can understand, it seems that the two events happened in two different time periods, but both did the mistake of awakening the mummy. This theory should be confirmed by the fact that the French soldiers find the bodies of the Roman legionaries.
To me this is the winner. :-)
