I dont know that it is his prime though- subjective opinion here. Compared to his bodybuilding years he was scaled down for this film because they thought he was far too big for the television screen. A very close friend of mine who died in 2020 was a GM at the Gold's Gym in CA where Arnold was training while he was getting ready for that film and he said people would come to the desk asking who the guy was that was in the locker room posing because he was slimed down quite a bit. I would have liked to see him as Conan when he was built up and compare him to the Barbarian twins in that role.

Awesome build. I wish they would make a Valeria face & kit based on Sandahl Bergman Valeria. They could even have a special "Valkyrie" outfit for when she comes back in the final battle. Also I can't believe they didn't do the "Father Sword"! Maybe they were planning a Rexor kit..

I would love that too! I love Conan the movie and more characters in 1/6 scale from that movie would be amazing! Hopefully someone will make a Valeria custom kit eventually as it shouldn't be too hard I would think. Just getting that head likeness would be the key.

I wish I can find this set. Great looking figure!

Hopefully they will rerelease this set again or maybe another company will release something similar or better, so just be patient and keep your eyes out. I waited years for this myself and when it came out it was everywhere at the time. Thanks for the view and kind words!

Man this is sick I wish they made this for one 12 action figures.

Yeah, I have always hoped Hot Toys would make an official Conan figure, but glad we could at least kit bash our own with these MR.Toys and TbLeague parts.

How do you put the head on I’m having trouble with that..I was able to get everything else done except the head

Maybe try to soften the head with a hot blow dryer for a few seconds in the neck hole area. Hopefully that will help...

Great review, I used the m35 body for mine as it has more muscular legs & painted the hilt & pommel gold & black to bring out the detail, this is my ultimate grail figure, I think chronicle are still trying to make an official Conan figure but it won't have a seamless body from the pictures I've seen

I'm a huge Schwarzenegger fan and out of my collection of 1/6 Arnie figures, I have been lacking a decent Conan figure for the longest time. I tried to have a custom made years ago, but got scammed on that. Then the original Kaustic sets came out over 5 years ago I think and that got me a bit closer to getting the ultimate Conan. But finally I think with this set and rooted head set, I can finally say I have a truly awesome 1/6 scale Conan figure! I'm glad you mentioned the differences in the legs of the m35, so I'll have to look into switching to that one later on. I don't recall why I bought this body, but I guess I already had it in mind for a possible Conan upgrade from my old Kaustic set. I'll still consider an official released version by Chronicle, etc, but until it's actually made and I can see how it turns out, this set will have to do!

@@MarlotheCollector The M34 body matches more with the original novel idea of Conan (he was described as lean but powerful like a panther) and I thought maybe the abs looked a little smoother/less angular, but it's hard to tell. The M35 is more like the young Arnie Conan from the Barbarian movie. The 34 kinda works for a Destroyer version, because I believe he was maybe a little less massive and more lean than the first movie. The legs do look better on the M35 though, and the chest. Arnie was king of pec development in those days.

@@Elricwulf Yeah, while the M34 isn't bad, for at least my idea of Conan from the first movie, I want him as thick as possible. He wasn't as ripped or toned in that movie which I always felt was more realistic, but he was definitely thicker then. For Destroyer he did lean out for more definition, but I didn't like that look as much as it took away from the realism in my opinion and he just looked more like a super hero or something. He also seemed a bit too clean and less like a barbarian. Anyways, I do want to switch mine over to the M35 and maybe use the M34 when he has pants on for another version of Conan to hide those thinner legs.

Chronicle can stand to pay attention to this video. They have what looks to be a fantastic sculpt of the face but wish they did the rooted hair instead of the sculpted hair and go with a seem less body type. I do think they should pump up the body on theirs too, a bit; their promo pictures show him a bit soft looking, he should have better body definition. This looks great! The legs appear a bit thinner, though, but looks great! Thanks for the share🙏 🖖 & 🤘 Max Power

I do like the Chronicle version, but like you said, would've been cool with rooted hair and more muscle definition. The body I used for the Conan in this figure was okay, but I should've used I think the TbLeague M35? body which has larger muscles, especially in the leg area which would've fixed the thin legs as seen in my video. So I'll eventually upgrade and maybe used the thinner legged version for him with pants on or something. Glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate the comment! ;)

I've been thinking of getting 2. one from Conan the destroyer & then a warpaint version it will go especially welly with the upcomining tbleague figure I'm getting not to mention my steampunk Red Sonja

I would love to have a warpaint version myself! Not sure what paint would work best over the rubberized body that won't crack or flake off over time though...! I have the regular Red Sonja myself and I think they will pair up quite nicely!

@@MarlotheCollector you wouldn't need a tbleague body though as it would as you say crack very easily. just a cheap muscular body would do because apart for some areas where it has started to wear off from battle, it will be mostly covered in white & black. one arm forward the other bentat the elbow. wish someone would make a Valeria now. Any version

I need to revisit my older Conan customs in my storage and maybe buy TbLeague bodies for at least one of them, and the spare body I can probably try to use for a war paint version of Conan someday. I just need more nice head sculpts of Arnie with long hair without the head piece! I would love a Valeria soooo much! Hopefully someone will produce one someday!

@@MarlotheCollector I hit a snag in that the only seamless bodies are phicen. they only have seamless arms on other figures. the shoulders look ok but not so with the knees. I think I may still go ahead with those bodies though. can't paint phicen & will be better in the long haul. plus with the legs painted, it won't make that much of a difference maybe

Great but I didnt understant why the collor of the hands has to be so diferent of the colors of the body. I know that they have diferent materials but it could have similar color anyway.

Yeah, I didn't like that either and I don't know why they couldn't make a better color match. Those I will definitely try to replace with a a better color match later on.

Which version do you like better? This one or the new version Kuastic Plastic released?

That's a tough call as I'd like to see the new Kaustic Plastic version in hand first. But based off pics alone, I think I still prefer this version with rooted hair as I always wanted a Conan with rooted hair for more realism. But if you don't mind more of that statue/ action figure look, then the Kaustic version would look pretty amazing! In some pics I see I keep thinking it's a nice statue..!

Looks fantastic! The phicen bodies should be fine with leaving them in a pose. I have a few that are kept in pretty dynamic poses and no issues.

How long have you left them in that pose so far and where do you live? I'm just curious if your part of the world is cold, hot, or has normal temperatures throughout the year as these factors may also affect things. Thanks in advanced!

@@MarlotheCollector Once I like a pose, I usually leave them like that for years. I live in Hawaii so it gets pretty hot here. Since I do a lot of customs I can get pretty rough with them too and haven't had any issues so far. Phicen/TBLeague are good quality items. The one you need to be wary of is the Jiaou Doll and other brands that are similar.

@@KibaCustoms Awesome! Good to know. Not sure of the manufacturers of the horror stories of customs I've seen, but maybe the other makers that you mentioned. I plan to eventually reside in the Philippines where it's always hot and humid, so somewhat similar to Hawaii, but more hot. Right now I'm in California where it's decent dry weather most of the time. Thanks for the info and I'll try posing my Conan a little more now!

I bought the *wrong* body sculpt so I had to wait a month for the right sculpt.... 😡 Pay attention to the body type and style before ordering. Can't believe I did that. 🤦🏾‍♂️ The sculpt should be in today!!!! 👍 The head sculpt and acessories are super awesome!!!!

Hopefully you'll be very pleased with your set once the correct body comes in. I have this body laying around for other Arnold customs I planned to do, so luckily I was able to use it for this video. But I've learned from others that the M35 body would actually be much better as it's a bit more muscular and thicker, unless you prefer the leaner look on your Conan. ;)

Got it! My wife's hair dryer did the trick! Now I'm golden! Super cool figure. Will buy more acessories from Ebay and make him more awesome!!!!

@@bruthamann5697 Glad you figured it out! I was about to tell you to try to use a blow dryer to soften up the connector in the head and boots. Let me know what other accessories you plan to pick up so I can also make mine look more awesome..! LOL! ;)

Yeah, the hand colors are off. I'll try to find some other hands to use as I don't really like the way they grasp the weapons anyways. I'm also considering getting the M35 body as it's supposed to be more buff and hopefully a better color match?

Tbleague/phicen bodies are the best imo. If I could afford it I would swap all my arnies bodies out for them. Even clothed figures look and pose better. Have an m34 stuck in customs and was gunna use it for a hulk or arnie endo arm exposed bash, but am seriously considering buying this set. Looks awesome. Was never a fan of the film or character, but rewatched the film last night and need this in my collection. Crom make it so or DAHELLWIDU

While this M34 body is great, I learned that the M35 would actually be better for this version of Arnie as Conan as it has slightly bigger muscles and definitely bigger thighs! The M35 would work great for other versions of Arnie with pants, etc. Not sure how you would make a Hulk as I would worry paint would rub or chip off these bodies. An exposed endo arm Arnie would be interesting as the inner skeleton is supposed to be metal. I'd just be afraid to mess up this great body...! But hope yours comes in soon and good luck with your customs!

@@MarlotheCollector Yes I've seen the m35 but prefer the m34. There are a few comparison vids on you tube. Think the m35 is roughly the same slightly bigger calves and a few extra muscles here and there. Think it is a touch smaller than the m34 but need to get both in hand to compare. Have had success with dyeing these bodies with chalk and weathering powders. A little goes a long way and have uploaded a vid somewhere showing my results on a m30 for a rambo custom. The endo arm mod, was done by a buddy and looks great you can see it here. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nGZ9kqSrlJi-hLg.html Yes is a daunting prospect risking an expensive body, but fortune favors the brave lol. Not sure which way I'm gunna go, hopefully the body turns up soon.

I really can't do a collection video as I am currently staying at my parents' house in the U.S. and my family and toy collection are in the Philippines since we moved there 3 years ago. I hope to be able to be there more permanently with a place of our own to call home and also a place to proudly display all of my collection to share with everyone!
