She pretty much is like this in interviews. Have u seen when she was on Jonathan Ross? Plus Alan is a very good interviewer he is just very laid back.

This is one of those times where you can tell a talk show host is a good person by how comfortable the guest is. Taylor was rarely ever this relaxed on a talk show. Chatty man is the real deal

The way he gets her so off guard when he makes her laugh is so brilliant. I have never seen Taylor react like this outside of Alan's interviews with her. His joke about Candy completely stopping her in her tracks and not knowing how to react was amazing, genuinely lovely to see her have such a good time

The way she said "i'm selling this" killled me psksksksk

Alan just has a gift for making people feel at ease, especially Taylor at this time often held herself back in interviews and put forward a very curated image but Alan just took her out of the room mentally, played a few games and just got her- in so many words, chatting. Like they were old friends.

These type of interviews are the best..when Taylor is just able to have a laugh wilst also saying what needs to be said without any pushyness...I love her great interaction and how she laughs he he says or does something funny or naughty...it was just a really great 9min Interview...and the next one with Taylor and the Chatty Man is 20 mins long and even funnier

Alan is so funny and friendly that you absolutely feel like you want to meet him right away, I never watch the show for the celebrity, but certainly for Alan .

This was her fourth album cicle, and she went on to become even bigger, and unstoppable, even today, 8 years later

This is just so precious. They are both hilarious

This was before the fall during 1989/Reputation/Lover. She was able to handle interviews and the weird stuff about her boyfriends up through Red. She couldn't take it anymore during 1989 and interviews started giving her panic attacks to the point where she didn't do any interviews for 3 years until Lover. And the way she looked and sounded during the Lover era was just sad. She looked scared on the Ellen Show in her final appearance there in 2019. On Graham Norton's show in 2019 she was chugging down wine and looked so nervous being on that show. The reason we keep seeing Taylor at NFL games being on the news is because she hasn't done an interview not linked to a Q&A session about solely Folklore, Evermore, or Midnights during their release dates since 2020 so just seeing her in public outside of her tour is newsworthy. Her TIME Magazine Person of the Year interview was a big deal because she hadn't done any interviews in a long time. Notice how she did not go on the late night shows or major magazines to promote the Eras Tour or even Midnight. There are no KZread videos of recent Taylor interviews because they don't exist.

Here (@7:26) in the Red era, she talked about she would not go on a date with disguises (wig, glasses, scarves, etc) and would rather live a life unhindered by paps; then she finally compromised for the love she cherished and successfully evaded public knowledge of a secret relationship for the better of a year (from when the courting/friendzone period to secret lover period to exclusive cohabitting period). I guess love does make people do strange things. And I don't know if Mr. Carr you had some insider knowledge or what (perhaps a close social/family connection? I once heard this saying that England is a club and people in social circles are more connected with each other, which seems not an extreme stretch, considering her beau's family is upper middle class, and both his grandpa and dad are in TV business), and decided to make a wry joke, it's quite funny you posted this talk at this point in time well before The Sun made her and Joe's secret relationship public half a month later, quite a deja-vu, I must applaud to you if it is indeed your little wry joke here.
