Thanks for the revisit. I'm not a reactor like you. Call me a dissector. On first listen, because it's Taylor, I immediately default to the lyrics. I want to know the story, the direct and the metaphoric. But after that, I then concentrate on the melody, the lead vocal along with her layering and the intricately harmonized back vocals. It all combined sets the mood. There's sooooo much to listen to with a Taylor song. I know she's thought of as one of the best stylists in modern times, but I feel even that is underrating her abilities to make musical magic.
Finally! :) I was waiting for Evermore. I love this album. It's closer to me than Folklore so I'm curious what you'll say at the end. Can't wait for you hearing the song Evermore. I love it so much. The way she sings... oh and I'm with you on Tolerate it. It's so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.

Actually such a good observation about how it could fit in with Carolina! Similar kind of intrigue and atmosphere although Carolina definitely is the more eerie one

@@stantwitter8273 He fell and hit his nose on his windowsill but he talked with a doctor and went to the hospital and should be scheduled for surgery

Waiting for this. Listen to the lyrics, she is on another level. I think folklore is a better album but evermore has better storytelling and imagery. She’s on another level here. With this song, her lyrics “lost in your currant (current play on words) like a priceless wine”. So. This is an amazing line. A theme of this album is water, ships. Ships would travel across seas and often would contain wine for the passengers. In bad weather, ships would often sink. The wine would go to the bottom of the ocean. On auction, the most expensive wines are those preserved at the bottom of the ocean. Divers retrieve them, sell for millions at auction. “Lost in your current like a priceless wine”. It’s a wonderful line.

I can't wait for your reaction to the song Evermore. It's my favorite Taylor Swift song. My face feels like it's melting away when I listen to that song. I also love Cowboy Like Me! Listening to that song puts me in absolute awe of Taylor's talent.
