i love when people appreciate the song red because i always feel like it gets lost with all to other great songs in the album red, but red has always been one of my favorites and after daylight i just love to listen to them both back to back all the time

I see this comment a lot and I agree for a swifie or for someone who has listened to more of her work. if you were here through RED then you were introduced to color... then she kind of kept it going with reputation and then full circle moment was on Lover & daylight. so... it kind of takes a bit of background info to appreciate it more. I feel like the reactors I watched who went from this to daylight didn't get it like we want them to. (AND I do think it's important -- don't get me wrong). I just think there is way more to the story and it's a beautiful one to leave out. :) m.

This song is one of my favourites out of the HUNDREDS that she’s written. She’s a genius - a poet, a philosopher, a strategist, amongst a thousand other talents. Although she has millions of fans, she’s still so underrated. I’m 52 and not only enjoy each masterpiece she brings, but also admire her as a person greatly!

Yea, she is re-recording her albums so she can own her work, so those are labeled Taylor’s Version. That means she has remade it and owns this version. Another rockin’ song is the opener to Red TV called State of Grace. The guitar is quite similar to the Edge from U2. Yes she has tons of styles. Hits a lot of genres, and styles within those genres. And a lot of her songs connect to eachother as well. The TMU. Taylor Musical Universe. A lot of them are connected. As people stated below. She wrote Daylight at age 29 that reflects back on what she thoughts love was like at age 20-21 when she wrote Red. She references Red in the song and therefore these two songs are connected in the TMU. Daylight is a good one to listen to now that Red is fresh in your mind. There is a lyric video.

So in regards to (Taylor’s Version) she’s working on re-recording and rereleasing her 6 albums that she wasn’t able to bid on or purchase when she left her label Big Machine. Her master recordings were sold to Scooter(which she hates) and then he sold them to a private equity firm. So far she has released the album Fearless (Taylor’s version) and Red (Taylor’s version). She has 4 more re-recorded albums to release.

This is my fav Taylor Swift song; it was such a bop when it was originally released, she sang it live everywhere! I think this is my fav reaction from you too, seeing you head bop and fall in love this song reminds me of when i first heard it 10 years ago lol! For me it was the symbolism with colour that captured my imagining listening to this while a teen (and even now)). Also Red was her first country/pop album released originally in 2012, but Taylor’s version was released last month. This is most of the fans favourite too; theyre some great bops in there! Really think u should start exploring her older songs, such good tunes.

I just love how she says in her more recent music that she used to think love was red but she knows now it's gold. The red was passionate but burned out fast, not real enduring love. Now (since Joe) she knows love is warm and stable, aka gold. You notice she mentions gold a lot in her later albums. ❤

Red came out in 2012. It's amazing how well Red Taylor's Version is doing. I'm happy for her. These rerecordings are at least one good thing that came out of this master mess. I hope you'll react to more of Red Taylor's Version. The songs from the vault are great too. Especially Nothing New. The vault songs where written for the original album but didn't made it on the actual CD. After seeing this reaction and how much you enjoyed this sound from Taylor I'd love to see a full album reaction even if it would me really long. xD

I keep coming back to your reactions and am watching them ALL (even with artists I've not heard of or listened to before) because of how you pay attention to lyrics. Taylor has always been phenomenal with explaining emotion and painting such vivid pictures with her lyrics and then puts it to music. I don't think that there will be a lot that will disappoint. I maybe don't "love" about 6 songs of hers and might chose to skip them if they came on. RED is my #1 so I am a bit biased - it came out in a time in my life of breakup and it spoke to what I was going through. The songs are kind of whiplash of emotion if you listen to them from start to finish the way the album is laid out but, that is how relationships & breakups can be. If you are looking for recommendations from (Taylors versions) & RED was up your alley.... I would recommend the songs surrounding it on the album. State of Grace (the start of the relationship) & Treacherous (getting into a relationship that you know is bad for you but, you jump in anyway). My ALL TIME favorite lyric from Treacherous is: 'forever going with the flow but, you're friction'. ugh! 🥰

This was my very first favorite Taylor swift song, it means so much. I did used to cry, listening to the original version. That pain is gone now but I still love the song. Being kinda artsy,, I always loved the color analogies.

To appreciate Taylors discography I personally think you have to experience each album altogether. She tells a story with them. ESPECIALLY her album Red. From track 1 to the end is a story being told. It’s best listened to in order!

so, i don't know if somebody already explained this, but taylor is rerecording her first 5 albums because she didn't owned the original masters (there's a lot more to it, but i don't know that much about it) at the moment she has rerelesed fearless (her second album) and red (her forth album)

I was just putting together a playlist for a friend and I have Red (Taylor's Version) as track one. It's just that good.

My favorite song of hers. You should see the live version she did at VMA with older country legends. It’s much slower and broken down. It’s so much better that way.

This song and the album were actually released in 2012 but the masters were "legally stolen" from her. It's a long story but she's rerecording everything and adding more songs "from the vault" into the Taylor's version album. "From the vault" songs refer to unreleased songs she wrote back in that era.

I love that as soon as he saw "Missing him was dark grey" he *immediately* goes "all alone" without needing any nudging at all.

She is currently re-recording her first 7 albums because someone stole it, sold it and she can't buy it back. Whenever you see "(Taylors Version)" it means she owns it. She has currently re-recorded Fearless and Red (album). She has also added vault tracks on each album, Fearless has 6 vault tracks, and Red has 10 vault tracks. And yes Red is an album name and its also the title of a song from that album.
