Miles Teller at the beginning is so funny. His real life wife (bride in the video), Keileigh, is one of her best friends. Blake Lively (Gossip Girls/wife of Ryan Reynolds) is also VERY CLOSE to Taylor. Their children are the characters on her album “Folklore” - Betty, James & Inez. Blake directed this video (along with Taylor). I absolutely love how she shares the spotlight with her good friends. She doesn’t want to steal anyone’s shine/spotlight. There’s plenty to go around for everyone. “We all have crowns!” from “You Need to Calm Down”.👏🏻🤗 👑 Did you notice that the gift she gave “the bride, Keileigh” was the red scarf from the short film of “All Too Well”? She’s a genius lyricist and storyteller. *The equal sign on the cake is an Easter egg to Ed Sheeran’s album. Ed (and his wife) is another best friend to Taylor for over a decade.

Taylor sitting at the kids table is referring to Taylor feeling out of place with Jake's older friends and him not making her feel secure around his older friends. Think All To Well short film and Jake dropping her hand at dinner with his older friends, then the kitchen fight about it.

This, All Too Well and We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together are all about Jake. He really did a number on her.

two fingers across the icing ---- Ed Sheeran released his album "Equals" about when this video came out. Also, when she says the line about "cool indie music concerts" the camera was on Aaron Dessner of The National (her collaborator on folklore and Evermore). Song is from the Red Album; so it is pretty much about Gyllenhaal. fwiw, I think she deliberately made it as "country" as possible (more so than the rest of Red) because Gyllenhaal started dating her in October, 2010 --- right after her Speak Now album went platinum in a week. Another reference to his penchant for "cool indie music concerts" is in We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Not hard to link this in to the rest of the album. Chris Stapleton's vocals pushes that "country" song vibe along, lol.

Awesome music video and enjoyable reaction! I think the first time I heard this song was when all of Red (Taylor's Version) dropped on KZread. So many great songs were left off of the already loaded original Red album. I'm so happy Taylor Swift released them. 😊

Lots of KZread videos, etiquette columnists, Reddit discussions, etc. Folks narrowed it down to maybe having that meaning in one part of the USA, but even folks from that area said nope, never heard of it. Who What Wear consulted multiple and etiquette experts, none of whom commented that (and most respondents thought it was fine to wear if culturally appropriate); Brides and numerous other wedding websites just covers the cultural aspect, since wedding dresses are red in many cultures. The best numerous fact-checkers came up , as noted by Fox News (of all places) is that it might have been a hyper-regional belief, but it’s likely just a hyper-viral myth that they chased back to TikTok, where someone on a wedding blog said it was “an old wives tale” - which is a superstition or belief widely regarded as false. So. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s the podcast, which went viral on TikTok, which made the claim - again, stating it was an old wives tale (that is, false). The Reddit post talking about wearing red as revenge to a wedding appeared before the Unfiltered Bride podcast, which went viral on TikTok, because their comments about it being an old wives tale didn’t make it to TikTok from the podcast. There’s no authoritative source, no etiquette book, nothing, that points to this being an old belief that existed prior to that Reddit post. What older etiquette books do say is that you should avoid wearing red because it can be flashy and upstage the bride for certain styles of dress formality. That’s it. Green also gets the same treatment.

I still like Jake as an actor I just think he broke up with her, his real match was Kirsten Dunst she sings about how they have nothing in common. Its been 13 years since they dated went out for 4 months i think theyre both fine
