This is my favorite song on the Evermore album. It needs to be made into a movie.

So, there's this thing about classic greek plays, that a choir comes in and sing about what people just watched there, and it comes back for the conclusion at the end. I feel that's what Taylor wanted to do with this song: the story only progresses in the verses and bridge, and the Haim sisters and Taylor are the choir, it fits. The funny thing is: the story starts in a low point with everything going wrong and the end is very positive (we can feel Taylor smiling from the point of "she thinks I did it" till the end), and that structure is what the ancient Greeks called "comedy" (the opposite of a tragedy). I'm not sure where I was going with that, it's just something I noticed now; because of what you said about the chorus, and I felt like there's more to it, and then I remembered how they feel almost supernatural, then I remembered the Muses and the Fates, then I made the connection. It's not the first time I would see Taylor using something from Greek culture, because I think she used the Odyssey as inspiration for her Blank Space MV and her character is some kind of Circe, and maybe that's why there's so much animals everywhere.

This has a Sheryl Crow kinda vibe. Not bad.... The metalheads on your Patreon have to step it up! Lol

I wish you would have reacted to the lyrics a little more, there's so many twists and turns in this one! (Este confronts husband for cheating, husband kills Este, Taylor kills husband, Taylor fraims mistress)

This was a full album reaction so while I did look at the lyrics I just don’t stop the tracks as much, and sometimes I talk about tracks on later songs since I’m listening to a group of tracks at a time, thx for watching :)
