Pull the pin located where the squeezable handle is.
Aim at the base of the flames
Squeeze the handle (Mrs Swift did get the hang of it).
Sweep from left to right, right to left (doesn't really matter) and up and down but only at the source - whatever it it that's burning.
Know your types of fire extinguishers and the kinds of fires they are designed for: NEVER PUT WATER ON AN ELECTRICAL OR OIL FIRE!!!
