For those asking what happened. I'm not sure. Yesterday she was a bit lethargic but she was up walking around with Tiny in the pig room and she was eating and drinking just fine. So this morning it was a really big shock to find her passed away next to Tiny. If she was sick she was hiding it. Like I said I did notice she was lethargic so I checked her body and found no bumps or cuts and I checked her teeth and eyes and everything seemed fine.

I know the feeling and I'm ever so sorry to hear what happened. My gorgeous 2 year old grey male Granite passed away suddenly on the 17th of May this year. He'd been absolutely fine the day before (16th) but then when I went to check on him at 9pm on the Friday, he'd just gone. Guinea pigs are notoriously good at hiding illnesses so you never know if they're poorly or not. Again, I'm ever so sorry to hear about Kona. To stop me feeling so sad, I think of Granite up in 'Piggy Heaven', running around, playing and eating to his hearts content! It really reassures me, and Kona's probably doing the same thing right now. Kind regards and all the best to you guys

My guinea pig died more than 5 years ago, but never does a day go by when I don't think about him. I even keep track of the number of days that have gone by since he died. He will have been dead for 2,000 days on the 2nd of December this year.

I remember when I lost my little piggy 6 years ago and then dreaming about saying goodbye every night and tell her how much I miss her until I dreamed of her less and less. @@KonaSubaI do too. When Paddy, our first dog, passed away in August 2 years ago, it definitely felt really weird without him being around to greet us anymore. However now with Louie, it’s like Paddy hasn’t left. Sure Louie drives us mad however he’s just an energetic goofball who loves us and we love him right back.

I am truly sorry to learn of Kona passing. She was a sweet and beautiful soul. And this was a beautiful tribute to her life. Thank you for sharing her and all the piggies with all of us.

@KonaSuba She may have had an underlying issue which guinea pigs as a species are very good at hiding so don't blame yourself, they couldn't have ask for a better owner.

Hi Martin my condolences on the passing of your Guinea pig kona she was a lovely gorgeous pig I loved watching her my favourite video was when she bonked one of her children tiny that was funny may she rest in peace I know it hurts when I lost Theo my first Guinea pig it hurt a lot but I remembered one thing I gave him a good home and love and he would remember that always so would kona or mama kona and grandma kona as she will always be remembered . Hey, this is gonna be hard, but this is a part of life This is actually the first time I’ve ever bought a super thanks, with my own money I lost my favorite sweetest pig in febuary and holy god it hurt It feels like a bullet to the chest But one thing I know Is the happy memories is what left me with the peace I needed We all unfortunately experience losses like this It hurts like hell man But even at the losses we experience , there has been scientific proof in fact that things get better I’ve been a fan of the channel since capybara and arty was born ! I just don’t comment often But I want you to make sure you take the time u need to grieve if that’s how u feel is gonna happen which is valid Just also think of all those happy memories! Mama Kona is def in a great place And I believe they always stay Even if their not there physically Sometimes you can just feel the presence of a lost pig Take care man This might be hard but take your time to grieve, and work to find peace It may be difficult but I believe in you!

@@KonaSuba i hope you feel better, i know the loss of any pet is something hard to handle. I’ve had to bare the loss of some of my closest fur buddies and even to this day I still think about them. The best thing to do is think about how you’ve always been there for them, how much you both showed each other love, and how you both were there since day one! I’m glad mama kona will always be remembered

That's one of the main reasons why I'm afraid to adopt guinea pigs in the future: because even though they're my favorite pets, the only idea of losing them soo soon (and still consider that they still live much longer than other rodents like fancy rats) already makes my heart shatter like a broken glass 😭😭😭
