For the last few years, I have said to myself... "Next year I will take part Tasting Australia". This year I made it happen. I chose for my first event the Heidrun Estate Winery, for their first ever Tasting Australia event - Asian Food meets Australian wine.
I am glad I made this selection, the winery is lovely, a great location and the staff were friendly. The food was yummy and yes, I did have a few glasses of the shiraz (my fav). I will be going back to try out their normal menu and perhaps get a few more bottles for home.
If you are in McLaren Vale they are definitely worth a visit, if you are wanting to try the food I would recommend making a booking as it was packed with visitors not part of the event.
