In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Alex being visibly embarrassed at being bribed is one thing, but Sara being furious is what elevates it.

Bwahaha. “There you go. You like the money don’t you.” Cracks me up every time. And Sara’s response is gold.
Joe's attempt at the beach ball task has to be one of the most iconic task attempts in the history of the show... the moment when he starts throwing ice at the ball gets me every time
That moment when Alex knows he's in trouble for moving the Bucket will go down as one of my all time favourite TM Moments. 😂

There _are_ shenanigans - but only in the fact that because that rule doesn't have any declared start or end point, it's likely that it's to be assumed always active, even if the chocolate was eaten before or after they started the main task. It's a cruel world, but it *is* still his fault for eating the chocolate.

Alex's "oh no!" 🙊When DMC realises there is a hole in the bucket too absolutely destroys me

The way too late realisation that ice is in fact just frozen water & could have got the task done in seconds is on the same level as, coming up with the perfect response as retaliation to a situation but the situation happened a week ago & you’re only figuring it out now at 3am.

One of the great think outside the box is when mawand (sp?) in the move water from one barrel to another, realizes you can add more water to the system. Everyone else scrambled as water drained from barrel A but he got the hose and just rerfilled it.
The bits of ice actually should have made it easier for Rob. But Alex’s solution makes no sense - unless there were tiny buckets in the pavilion they’d still have to move the first bucket to pour the water into the third one, or at best fill it up very slowly with the other items.

Yeah but you use one bucket from the pavilion to be filled by a poor transport item like the hose them use the nice big bucket you got full of water to walk down the track and pour it into the final one. You’d still move way more water than somebody running up and down the track with a fucking coconut full each time just by the sheer lack of time spent moving between the start and end buckets. Alex is right
@lisahenry20
Жыл бұрын
They'd fill the third bucket slowly, but it would be much faster to move to the other bucket. For example, let's say you used the coconut. Instead of having to move a coconut sized amount of water each time, use the coconut to fill the third bucket them move it all together.
Oh man, starting with 'without moving the fishbowls' is cruel

@PonmonofNuggetor

Paul Sinha did exactly that. Still took him forever to actually do it. I think he came 4th, but can’t quite remember
He didn't say he wouldn't move it, he said he wouldn't let anyone touch it. As we all know Alex is nothing
That isn’t what Alex said if we are going to be pedantic…he said he wouldn’t be letting anyone else touch the bucket …
Question to everyone here how COULD a large bowl of Cooking chocolate help move water from one bowl to another? If we had something like "your time doesn't start till the water moves" we COULD have gotten something like...melting it down and forming it over something to create a "bowl" or heck, if we can use the chocolate..can we use the foil, make that into a bowl shape and use it? this has been nagging me for a while...
@pitofdespair-seaonsonal359
Жыл бұрын
The point is that a large block of cooking chocolate isn’t meant to help move water between two fishbowls. It’s meant to be there to trick the contestants who ate it.
Mel's proposal was SO ridiculous. 5:49
Around 3:27, by saying "I finished it", I could argue the rule was broken about commentating in the 3rd person. The only argument provided during the episode that was in was that the commentating appeared to be optional for some reason. But once the commentating occurred, the use of the word "I" could be seen as a broken rule, and thus perhaps a disqualification, causing Joe's points to change from 5 for winning - 5 for eating chocolate = 0 to being 0 for breaking that rule. But I could then argue that once a task is considered complete, interaction with the things in the task seem irrelevant. Thus, consuming chocolate during the task can be an issue. But once he declared (using the word "I") that he finished the task, if the task is complete, then I'd argue that chocolate can be had without docking points. So he should go from zero points to...zero points! (This bit of internet entertainment of justifying the same outcome with different reasoning brought to you by me.)
but joe ate the chocolate after the time ended ?
But why was it okay for them to hit the rocks with the ball if only water could touch the beach ball (beside the grass it seems) 🧐

Joe was using ice - made of water. Then he found a lot of cubes of ice in a lump, so then he could hold the big lump and push it.

Having said to Sara that no one else will touch the bucket for any of the others. I don't necessarily feel Joe failed the task, as he only made commentary about himself while talking, rather than outwardly just talking naturally. He completed the task by doing it in the beginning, re: "Joe thinks that's quite successful.", but he didn't talk throughout the rest because he couldn't. It would be the same as having a contestant who just naturally didn't talk much.
