What makes almost every interaction of Bob and Alex more fun to watch is knowing that Alex is a Giant bob Mortimer Fanboy (legit Bob is one of his childhood heroes) but has to try to stay in character 😄😄

@@stellar783 That is EXACTLY what I was thinking! Use the inner to stretch out the outer, tie it off, add just a bit more air to the outer so it can be tied off, done!

My husband actually does this for fun. Some of the most interesting things he's gotten into a balloon include: live flies, a knife, a plastic triceratops, various forms of food, various forms of stationary including a computer mouse...the list goes on. I didn't even watch this before I sent it to him, and he was so excited about the possibilities of this task...and then so disappointed with the results. Still hilarious, but a touch disappointing.

It occurs to me now that I have never taught my children how to blow up a balloon. Maybe some of them can; I don’t know; I’ve never checked. I’d better remedy that before I send them out into the world.

I can't blow up balloons. Don't know why, I was never able to break the initial barrier of resistance, just as can be seen with Mark at 1:20. Maybe our lungs are to weak, or we just fail to channel the right stream of air or something.

However, I must say that as I got older I became a bit better at it. As a kid I would never succeed; as I got a bit older I would mostly fail to blow up a balloon, but, very rarely, suddenly managed to. I don't know about today, it's not something you do very often if you don't have kids, and also because of my lack of skill I avoid it, generally. But one thing I know for sure is that I cannot fucking tie a balloon. Never have been able to and certainly never will be. I don't know how people do it, it seems impossible to me. In conclusion, I'm not a balloon woman.

Nish casually wandering into the paradox of the heap was not what I was expecting.

@@travelwell6049 Either it's a straight slip of the tongue (same first letter, same length) or she got confused by the fact that the Series Director *and* Series Producer on Taskmaster are both called Andy.

I would've asked/looked for another balloon, put it inside the other and then blown them both up so they're flush against each other and the one inside would've been the biggest thing you could possibly fit into a balloon. I've never tried blowing up two balloons at once though so idk if that might be a wee bit difficult lmao

a phobia of balloons is a real thing. I have two friends, who don't actually know each other, but are both absolutely terrified of balloons.

Mark's balloon phobia is legit. I suffer from it too.

Get another balloon, put it inside the original balloon, then blow them both up. The interior balloon will be literally the biggest possible thing you could fit inside the balloon. Not that this trick would have worked for any of them, since none of them actually managed to successfully inflate the balloon at all.

I also wondered if air would work, seeing as air is a thing and you are putting it inside the balloon by blowing it up. Of course, this can also fail due to the reason in your second paragraph.

Nah, easiest thing to do is just blow up the balloon - hence putting air in it, which is the largest thing in the room as it fills the room

If you turn the balloon inside out, don't inflate it. It has become almost the size of the universe. By inflating it, you are actually deflating it.

"My time starts now" instead of "Your time starts now" really draws out the fact that each time someone reads out that last line, often at the urging of Alex, from the perspective of the reader, it sounds like Alex's time begins at that moment. Only when someone substituted "My" in for "Your" did it make more sense.

I was like "Yes! FINALLY!" when someone ask if liquid counts as a thing, then seeing him put the water in the bottle AND THEN fill it in the balloon (instead of simply stuck the balloon on the tap to let the water pressure do the work) kills me.

Mark is adorable.

What is it with these guys not being able to blow up balloons. Long ones I understand.

Air is a thing. Could have just blown it up, job done. Best part is that since a fluid would fill the entirety of the bloon's space, it is infact the largest thing by volume that you CAN put in any given bloon.

Should have put a balloon in another balloon. Blown that balloon up somewhat and then blown the other balloon up around that😂
