    Alex is not really an assistant. He is the heart and brains of the whole show, then Greg comes and plays the Taskmaster.

    Romesh's watermelon exploding is maybe the funniest thing that has ever happened on Taskmaster, and it happened in the first 20 minutes of the very first episode.

    Alex has got the hardest task to prepare the tasks... but he writes them! Although Greg is The Taskmaster and Alex is the put-upon assistant on screen, behind the scenes Alex designs and writes the series. The other thing you need to know about the series is that many of the tasks reward lateral thinking... there are loopholes in many of the tasks for the contestants to find or invent!

    There was a potential loop-hole in this task. The phrasing was "the time starts when you open the door to the lab". They could have gotten someone else to open the door.

    Well played mate, I think you have found a great loophole. We should start thinking about the wording of the tasks a bit more in future videos for a bit of fun haha. Great stuff Griexxt!

    I believe this is why Tim Key was hired as a task consultant for the show, to try and help create tasks that didn't have as many obvious loop-holes.

    Guys. At the pace you’re going on, you’ll finish series one in one year. With 13 series’ it’s be a 13 year effort (and there are more series’ coming!). Perhaps consider maybe doing some editing to do one episode per episode, or publish each task each day. Five days in a week. Five tasks per episode. You can finish series one in two months. At least with that you can catch up in three years (still a long endeavor).

    Hey thanks for the feedback Uatu! I guess it will come down to how well these videos perform.. if people enjoy these more than the WILTY clips, then for sure we will start looking at doing more Taskmaster and build up momentum on it. We are already stretching pretty thin putting together 5 videos a week, but happy to make more of them Taskmaster clips if that's what you guys prefer. Cheers mate.

    I'm not sure if you guys are aware, but Alex Horne the Taskmaster's assistant is actually the creator of the show. Greg Davis is just the face of the show, while Alex comes up with and designs most of the tasks for the show. He is the true mastmind behind the show however he has no wish to be the Taskmaster. He has said before in an interview that he doesn't think he has the right personality to host the show and that ranking the contestants harshly isnt for him. I still find it hilarious that Greg bosses Alex around while Alex is technically the 'boss.' Fun Fact: Before it became a tv show Taskmaster started out as a inside joke between Alex and 20 comedian friends of his, where he sent tasks every month via email for the course of like a year as a test for is the show would work.

    Your fun fact is false. That first run was for the Fringe Festival and was devised specifically for Tim Key to lose. Alex was “jealous” of Tim winning the main prize at the comedy awards the year Alex wasn’t able to attend. It was Avalon who suggested this could be a TV show and the second year at the Fringe was where it was more of a test run.

    My fun fact is not false, its just an editied version of what Alex has said in his interview on Sunday Brunch. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eYGTmqeGk7mbdMo.html&ab_channel=SundayBrunch He mentions the Frigne Festival indecent but I just didn't think it was relevant to go into what the "ïnside joke" was so I left it out of my fun fact. You can't claim its false just because of that, the rest of what I said is factual.

    The games are brilliant. The comedians range from committed, to ridiculous. Greg is imperious and commanding. Greg's banter raises the show very high. However the editing elevates Taskmaster beyond stratospheric. Orbital? The editing makes the show practically perfect. The genius of pre-recorded tasks is the flexibility to assemble into any order, so the first episode is a 'corker'. However, the whole series _is_ amazingly good. Tasks that are purely subjective, scored at Greg's whim, and the in-studio tasks, ensure episodes are not foregone conclusions. Of course, you need to satisfy your audience. However, 2 clips each week might make a big difference (of course that might not 🤔) Best Wishes, Chaps. ☮

    You guys are forgetting about all the seeds!! You cant blend them!

  • @MelvinSimKH

    @MelvinSimKH

    Жыл бұрын

    Actually you can. The seeds are edible. 1. Fruit juice stands won’t go to the trouble of de-seeding watermelons before juicing them. If you’ve drunk watermelon juice, chances are extremely good, they included the seeds (though seeds would not have contributed to the juice) 2. Melon seeds as a snack are a thing. They are just about de rigueur for Chinese New Year.
