[TAS] SMB1 - Monkey Golf - 18 Strokes

This TAS is purely for low score. No focus was put into time.
Each hole with a standard green has a number of positions where the cup can appear in the circle. The position of the cup on these holes is RNG, and so by waiting in certain places, such as during a hole or on the scorecard after a hole, the position of the cup can be manipulated so that a hole in one is possible (or just easier). This was used throughout. An additional challenge I gave myself was to only use the default camera view.
Aside from a few holes, this entire TAS was done in real time with save states (i.e. no frameadvance). This is why some line-ups are not instant, or include adjustments after the initial movement. The TAS was done over three or four hours in total. I'm considering Monkey Golf 2 as well, but it will be much harder to decide when a hole has reached its limit in that, whereas Monkey Golf was easy to do because it was clearly possible to get a hole in one on every hole.

Imagine doing this with 4 players, and each ball-color has a different monkey character in it... that would be such a beautiful think to make a 4-way tie of all monkeys happy that they won! 😄

That will likely never happen. There's too much RNG with cup positions and even then it's extremely precise.

12 is awful, but 18 is even harder imo! I can still usually get a birdie on hole 12. but with 18, I'm lucky if I don't get a give up.

That's Deluxe. SMB1 has differing physics and cup position RNG. The SMB1 record is 27.

How Did Gongon Made Hole In One To Easy On Monkey Golf
What's up with hole 16? I do exactly what the video shows, hit it with power meter at full and my ball barely climbs halfway up that curved wall. Does GonGon hit harder or something? That wouldn't even be a fair way to design a game. I want answers, damn it! Hole 16 is impossible and this video is a sham!

I would recommend using the driver instead of the wedge. I would also recommend not getting this mad at a game called Super Monkey Ball.
