The Adventure of Little Ralph (ちっぽけラルフの大冒険) is a Japan-exclusive action platformer for the PlayStation. In this game, the player controls Ralph, who has been turned back into a child by the evil demons who have invaded his homeland. In order to stop them and return to his former self, he must get through each area filled with enemies, traps, and many hidden routes. In addition to the typical running and jumping, there are regular boss encounters utilizing the same mechanics as the platforming sections, as well as the occasional Street Fighter style encounter where Ralph doubles in height to defeat the bad guys.

This is why I watch TAS videos. I had no idea this game existed. If I had seen just the game's title alone somewhere, I wouldn't haven't given this game the chance it deserved. But since TAS videos are a treat to watch no matter the game, I gave this vid a watch and my eyes & ears cannot thank me enough. It's so beautifully, wonderfully, awesomely well made! If this game was released today as a indie pixel-art platformer, gamers would be screaming from the rooftops how great it is.

One of the most SNES-y PSX games I've ever seen. For some reason it gave me a bit of a Quintet vibe, maybe some of the instruments used in the soundtrack.

I wish this game someday gets a HD remaster treatment because I want to see Ferica in Hi-Res sprite XD

TAS doesnt uncover all beaty of this game. Every level has some secret routes to run. And running through level with precise movement and knowledge are specialy awarded. All fruits he collects actually vanish after 1sec and string of bonus at the and get lost, so player need to run and jump perfectly which makes you want to return and rerun this time right (select+start resets the game from checkpoint, and continues are unlimited) It differs from standart snes platformers despite it looks. I highly recommend to try this game as i said at the beginning TAS doesnot *spoiled* much.

Do you know what the "Ralph bonus" after defeating Destarroza is about? You get it when doing perfect to all street fighter-like enemies?

I cant beat stage 4-2 back then, after tries multiple time finally beat it only to get fighting game with stage 4 boss I suck at fighting game so its very frustrated for me

Looks like a decent game. Not bad, just... very basic in almost all ways and kinda forgettable because of that. I think some action-RPG or Metroidvania elements could've made it much more substantial. Kinda like what Wonderboy in Monster World did.
