Targeting Big Carp (Oscar Thornton) | Korda Mindset

Спорт

Oscar Thornton is one of the most recognised upcoming big fish anglers. Still in his 20's, Oscar has caught over 40 UK 40lb'ers, from a variety of waters. From huge low stocked sailing pits, to small intricate estate lakes and busy day tickets, Oscar's approach works everywhere he goes, with consistent results wherever he goes.
In this tactical insight into his angling, Tom Rossiter joins Oscar in session to pick his brains on all things technical and tactical relating to his angling. In detail, they discuss rigs, baiting, spot finding, and the mindset required for success.
A first ever insight into Oscar's angling, packed full of so many tips and edges, this is a tactical masterclass on Oscar's big fish approach.

    Great watch. Well done on the lead clip with no tubing or leader. Safest rig. Don't use a running lead clip on tubing as this is a tether rig. Brilliant angling Oscar, well done.

    Been going at river feeder fishing, and one thing it always work are earthworms. Maggots quickly get sticky and they are fidly to put on🤷

  • @KordaTV

    @KordaTV

    8 ай бұрын

    Oscar uses maggots only in the colder months, so they get a lot less sweaty during the winter and if they are coated in maize dust or similar, it keeps them dry for longer periods. They are also a more affordable natural bait in large quantise as worms can be very expensive, but there's no denying the effectiveness of worms, especially feeder fishing 🙌

    Oscar's go-to pattern and one that works for him time and time again 👊🏻 Conventional Wide Gapes or even a Wide Gape X are other hooks within the range, with thicker points yet still lovely and sharp from the pack.
