i dont think we get it.

I just discovered scratching a couple days ago. Of course I had heard it before like in NBA Street or Frontier Psychiatrist, but I never knew the skill and technique that went into it. Your ScrubBoard is such an interesting and intuitive way to scrub, really genius. I hope you're reaping the benefits of this awesome invention!

And I was impressed by the Jr. with the simultaneous use of the 2 tracks...what are you going to cook up with 16?! Amazing work as usual, man! The primary motivation for using such wide tape right now though is just for space to make markings, right? Is there any (wipe-off) marker that could be used directly on tape (like the compact cassette tape of the Jr.) without affecting the sound quality or fouling the heads?

Yes, the marks can definitely be wiped off. That was actually the main flaw in my "prototype 4" -- in that one, the marks were permanent and they affected the sound, so I had to keep replacing the tape loop. Now with this new one, I could potentially go months without having to replace the tape loop, which I'm super excited about!

That's a great question. I am planning to start doing live shows in my area, which isn't very far from Fremont. Maybe I'll do a little show and tell after my set so people have a chance to try it out themselves. Just make sure you're on my mailing list and I'll keep you posted!

Thanks for watching. That thing is a midi controller that I built as an alternative to a fader, for cutting effects.
